Omtose did not even protest weakly as the frightened mob descended on her. She sat in a dull silence, eyes wide and uncomprehending as the rope wound around her neck. Afterwards, the mob decided she deserved it anyways, since she didn't even struggle.
Too bad she was innocent.

After wrapping themselves up as tightly as they could to keep warm through the cool tropical night, the students awoke from fitful sleep to find another of their number slashed open from ear to ear.
The students were feeling pretty frightened, thinking another of their number was gone until one student noticed a small wire protruding from under the girl's arm. Linked to it was some sort of miniature radio transmitter, with an insignia stamped on the side. A mark remarkably like the one the woman who announced the game was wearing. Feeling a little better about things, the girls set out in an attempt to survive another day.

We've had six deaths so far - one obvious NK, one lynch and four splodeys. Two of the splodeys would be the result of the two traditional kills. The other two are what is odd though. The obvious link (there being two of them) is that they are collar-mates. Now one of them could have been a normal kill that wasn't described the way the first one was, but I'm not sure the timing works out on that. From the OP
Day 1:
Omtose is lynched, so B and 1, meaning his partner will die the end of day 2
Night 1:
Amp dies, looking a lot like A and 2, so partner will die the end of night 2
Day 2:
No lynch
Rashan and Korbas both explode. One of these is Omtose's partner, but where did the other come from? The only answer I can see is 3 sometime during Day 1. Meaning someone should explode at the the end of today to complete a pair.
Night 2:
GL's collar is deactivated
Liosan and Merrid both explode. Now one of these could have been an NK that wasn't written as such, the other Amp's partner. If one wasn't an NK though then things get complicated, since it would imply another direct activation during night 1.
Looking at the timing closely, the two unaccounted deaths are too close together to be a collar-pair. I seriously hope that one of Lio and Merrid was an NK, else there was an activation day one and again night one. Either way, there is at least one person who can activate collars directly and did so on Day 1. This does not feel like innocent play to me, since it is effectively a double vig very early on in the game. The only way I can see the activator being inno is that GL was linked to Rashan or Korbas and the activator saved GL after trying to vig his partner. If someone explodes at the end of the day today, I will be taking a long hard look at GL since whoever saved him was more than likely scum. Unless activation and deactivation are completely different roles, in which case I'm not 100% sure what to make of things. Either way, if there is an explosion today and then two tonight it would definitely indicate that whoever (possibly plural) is activating and deactivating collars is either incredibly reckless or scum. If there is no explosion today and only one tonight it would indicate that GL was saved, which is more likely to indicate at least an inno deactivator. Or forewarned scum.
This analysis wasn't nearly as enlightening as I hoped it would be - the numbers were bugging me and I hoped they would point in one direction or another. Without knowing what the mechanics look like it is still too much speculation to be certain of anything.
I have no objection voting Sorrit, he does seem like the best choice for today, but I'm going to hold off for now as I should be able to make it one around time-out.
Edit - crosspost with Sorrit. If he's telling the truth then it we should be expecting lots of explosions tonight
Quote
A - If the collar is activated, you die automatically after a full day and night cycle has ended (so if the collar is activated during night 1, you live for day 2, then for the night 2, then die at the end of night 2).
B - If your collar is activated as the result of a lynch, you die at the end of the next day.
Collars are activated at the following times:
1) whenever someone is lynched, his or her connected partner's collar is activated.
2) whenever someone is NKed, his or her connected partner's collar is activated.
3) whenever a role activates a player's collar directly.
4) whenever someone dies as the result of an activated collar, his or her partner's collar is activated.
5) whenever someone's collar is deactivated, his or her connected partner's collar is activated.

yeah, no doubt it would. alas, I haven't played lover in so long, I forgot to take this basic step on day 1. and by the time I remembered, it was a bit too late, we were into Day 3
in any case, i CAN tell you that Sorrit was a collar-mate finder and had a 1 in 2 nights deactivation power.
as do I
I snapped his collar night 1. he did a find on me, Night 1, and snapped my collar night 2. why that particular snap led to big red bold announcement is beyond me.

well, since no one is around, i'm off to bed.
before I go, I'll sum up some stuff:
Omtose is lynched--there's one explosion
Sorrit's collar is snapped--there's the second, at the end of night 2.
someone NKed night 1--explosion 3
Fener died cuz of me.
right now we have 7 people, 3 of them collar-less (at least). 3 more people set to die.
I'm thinking Ruse was NKed--and his death set off his chainmate's collar. that would account for blinknig light no. 3
this prolly isn't complete, and i'm missing some stuff from day + night 2/3, but I need sleep now.

okay let me know if i have completely misread this and am a complete moron talking absolute bollocks but from what i can see: Day 1 - Omotose lynch - it is announced that a light on someones collar goes on, same with Amps death. If GL is correct he disabled Sorrit's on Day 1 and this has no announcement. Okay so far. and as it goes this 'quiet' disabling can then explain some of the previous unaccounted for collar explosions, right?
so if GL's collar disablements are not announced then why would they have been last night to Osserics and my collar mates? If Sorrit was already disabled these activations don't relate to him. Ruse's currently unexplained death accounts for one. but if we are following the previous rule of GL's deactivations then ours shouldn't have been announced, should they? I believe that HP has already established that everything is as is should be from the mod's pov.
As far as a lynch goes, even though i'm not happy about it i think logic dictates that a lynch should occur from the 3 'safe' rather than trying to hit the fourth that isn't going to explode and hope he is the scum or the scum explode etc, however we are relying on the fact that there ARE 3 'safe'. If someone could clear up the above for me then i could give the rest some thought. Of course that would mean the deactivations GL is claiming is a set up, to get either Oss and I lynched - we were the only two that voted for GL, however why would he attract undue attention to himself in this way, either that or there are still chain activations that are unaccounted for.

Do you have any reasons for not wanting to vote for someone who is 'safe', other than your name being in the list? I really can't see the point in lynching someone who has a 75% chance of dying anyway. With three, possibly four deaths tonight scum win if there are two remaining (and probably lose if there is just one according to shin's tiebreak rules). If one or more scum is in the four people who might die, then 75% odds that the night's actions do their job are fine by me (assuming for now the scum can't somehow prevent their deaths. The main worry for me is if both scum are in the other three. For example if you and GL are scum then a vote on any of the other four presumably wins the game.
You're talking out of your ass HP. Honeslty, even if my name wasn't in the list of 'safe' people I'd still not be up for voting people who are safe and disregarding the rest because 'meh, they're probably going to die anyway'. If we lynch correctly today, we have a greater chance of winning, and you are limiting the suspect pool which in my opinion is the wrong thing to do. We have no idea how many scum are left, but disregarding people's scumminess and instead voting for them being 'safe' makes it more likely for us to lynch wrong, since I very much doubt there's two scum amongst GL, Kalse and myself. I would think there's 1 (Ican't be sure though), but I know I'm inno and I'm skeptical of them both being scum at this point. I've revised my opinion on GL, and I'm still suspicious of Kalse, I'm getting surer and surer the confusion is an act, and I'm damn sure you are scum.
Besdies, if they're going to die anyway, and they're scum, what is the harm in lynching them? If they're going to die anyway, they just die earlier that's all, and we have the same amount of deaths (well, unless we lynch one of us three I guess). It's hardly a waste, and we have no idea at all how many scum there are and even if they're going to die anyway. I'm not suggesting that you don't vote for us three, but vote for scum, not for people who are going to survive. That's just stupid in my opinion.
@Tellann, any reason for me over GL? Why not Kalse either?

By the way, if we lynch scum instead of voting for the 'safe' people, we might even prevent the NK, which means we won't lose if there are two scum after the lynch and one gets hit tonight.
Now, this might be the wrong move, but since I think there's a decent chance I won't survive the night and people will likely fall in line to HP's reasoning as Tellann has 'to get the lynch,I might as well get all this out there, and I think lynching scum today is the right move.
I'm a finder.
Night 1 I did a find on Silanah, because his exchange with Omtose was quite fishy. Probably should've laid off and found someone else, since if Omtose was scum Sil was getting lynched anyway, but whatever (I was considering HP actually). He's innocent.
Night 2 I did a find on Tellann. I don't really know why him specifically, but I'm always suspicious of the higher posters, since they tend to lead the thread. He's innocent.
Night 3 I did a find on HP, since he was the hardest to build a case on (in fact I couldn't build a convincing one myself, having tried on Day 3). He is scum.
So with 3 innos and 1 scum accounted for (Silanah, Tellann and myself, plus HP), that leaves possible scum as Kalse, Barghast and GL. I'm of the opinion one of them is Kalse.
Anyway, should've done this a while ago

I don't see a counter. it's mafia 101 that if there's a finder reeveal you lynch who he points to, if they turn up inno, you lynch him.
as for why you and Kalse: it was a provisional. at that time, you two seemed to make the most sense.

You're 'pretty sure'? I put a find on HP and came up scum, you're gonna have to be surer than that if you want my vote. By the way, how did a big red announcement about his collar draw attention away from himself? If anything, it put him more in the spotlight. Now, I'm definitely not clearing him as an inno, but I know someone is scum, so why aren't you voting for them?

Well, I guess I can't rule him out then. I'm smelling one too. What's even more odd than your whole collar-thing is his utter fixation on you and Sorrit. Except for his first post, which was accusing me of the whole partner-switching thing, he's mentioned you and Sorrit as being suspicious in every single one of his posts. It's bizarre.
