Goddamit. One of the victim's who was killed in the Colorado shooting was a girl who had been visiting Toronto in June and had SURVIVED the Eaton Centre shooting....only to go home to Colorado and get killed at the movies.
What the hell?!
What the hell?!

That is horrible, horrible irony, in a 'the universe at its most fuckedupedness' sort of way.

You just know that the shooter's going to explain why he purposefully shot a mother and left her nine year old kid untouched because 'being orphaned at a Batman movie is just poetic, you know?' and then he is going to be sent away for ever. The connection is too obvious for someone this sick to miss, possibly even why then and when.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

...and the latest is that his apartment was apparently booby-trapped. It was apparently stocked like an ammunition silo and was full of assorted chemicals as well.
What a twisted little fuck.

Anyone see it? The few criticisms I see on the web seem way unfounded. Don't hesitate, go see it.

Apparently he dyed his hair green and on arrest told police he was the Joker. Fucked up little stain.

I'm hoping to see it tomorrow but, after having agreed to go, my friend won't confirm a time. I've also said that I was intending to book tickets in case it gets busy but there's still no commitment...

The love I bear thee can afford no better term than this: thou art a villain.

Book the best time for you. Tell the bastard to either be there of to fuck off and you will pull a homeless bum off of the street.
Vengeance making friends and keeping them for 35 years.

How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

Seen it just now. It was great.
The woman two seats down making weird noises through the whole thing...not so great.
There were a couple of bits of Bane's speech that didn't come through perfectly, but usually context-clues were enough to figure them out, and it was literally just one or two bits.
We're going to have to sort a spoiler policy for this thread, I guess. XD
A few things here and there were, both at the time and on reflection, not entirely satisfying to my critical side. Just small things that chipped away at the willing suspension of disbelief, which TDK and (it's been a long while, so iirc:) BB didn't suffer from. On the whole though, awesome experience, and definitely a "purchase" title sometime down the track.

I thought it was fantastic, except for not being able to understand half of what Bane was saying. Apart from that, awesome

A good conclusion to the trilogy.
One question though, since when is Gotham city supposed to be NYC? I haven't seen Batman Begins since 2005, but I remember Gotham looking like a futuristic city with the 3 level elevated trains... Then when DK came out, the city completely changed look. Am I missing something?

Just came back from the Cinema. Not quite sure what I think of the film yet. Much of it left me feeling sort of... cold. But the very end saved it for me.

I think they did a great job of cleaning up his voice. In the original trailers he was nearly incomprehensible. Now his voice was much more clear. I thought that it was a bit too "british" and high pitched if such a thing is possible but overall it was good.

You're probably missing two things:
1) Nolan's vision/plot necessity
2) City film incentives
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

I loved the shit out of it. Like every last second.
Goddamn that was a hell of a trilogy! And I love how it WORKS as a trilogy.
Fuck. So good.
And Apt retains his "I have the most fucked up movie opinions ever" badge. I'm not even going to get into his paragraph of griping though. I'm just enjoying basking in the afterglow of suck a fantastic fucking movie.
