...and it's baaaaaaaaaack.

OK, not a huge fan of the forward jump here. I like that they don't feel obligated to show you everything in painful detail, but in this case there were too many significant events to just blip over them.

And ffs,
Spoiler

OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

Yes, I have to admit that thing you spoilered, McLovin, is just plain stupid and so totally unneccessary. Other than that, I thought it was good opening. I especially liked the whole "we got fucking space-alien guns now" thing.
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

I read a blog once about how aliens are usually bipedal and that's stupid. I have to agree, the overlords while rather different from humans are still basically the same. Bipedal sentients. The new aliens, the volm, vohm, whatever. They too are bipedal. So basically 2 out of 3 aliens are bipedal. The skitters are pretty damn awesome, I think in that they differ quite a bit from humans.
I know it's just easier to make bipedal aliens, but for fucks sake, Farscape, while it had many bipedal aliens, made some fucking awesome puppet aliens. Why couldn't Spielberg at least have made the new aliens different aswell?
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

Some interesting developments this ep. I can say I enjoyed this one a lot! That baby shit really sucks otherwise bravo so far!

Also how did I miss hot nurse girls weird as fuck name Lordis the past 2 seasons? That name just doesn't sound right to me.

Pretty sure it's spelled Lourdes. It's a pretty common Latin/Hispanic name.

OK, 3 eps in and I'm confused.

Lt. Fisher is with Pres. Hathaway. So she's not some rogue killer. So why did her group attack the 2nd Mass exactly? Is that ever explained?

Between this and Alexis, Season 3 is starting to piss me off.

This show is currently lacking its previous magic! I hope they pull it together but it looks doubtful!

I cant help but think it would have been better if the new aliens came and fought with the old aliens but the humans remained on the side lines just trying to survive. Not being an equal partner. Just another season of trying to survive, will the new aliens win, will they chase the old ones away? Will they leave after? Having humanity suddenly going toe to toe with the aliens is wrong! Why dont thy just nuke charlstown from orbit? Its also changed the dynamic that made the show so good and now we have to watch these absurd spy plots and super babies and a human scientist who understands alien technology by looking at the machines chassis!

Even though the latest ep's mindfuck plot was pretty standard, I did like how they explored Tom Mason's character afterwards. Also the uneasy truce between Peralta and Weaver was well done.

Hopefully this is the start of an end-of-season rally that will finish strong, and get people excited about Season 4.

Also hope the showrunners are looking ahead to the series finale. Probably only 1 or 2 seasons' worth of stuff left in the tank, hopefully they plan Season 4 accordingly.

Would that point be
Spoiler
If so, I'm with you on that.

I don't know, I found the ep kind of weak. The showrunners can't seem to decide where they want to take the story so they're generating these false one-episode ocnflicts and hitting reset. Not what I want from this kind of show.

I'll tune in to Season 4, because I've come along this far, but they need to seriously spend time in the off-season thinking about where they want to go with all of this.

Yeah her acting was maybe the high point of the finale.

I fell asleep about halfway through so maybe this is premature, but based on what I've seen so far I'm leaning toward agreeing with Primateus.

Haven't watched the new ep yet but I was hoping that it would pick up with a new show running on board and in charge... you're all not filling me with confidence!

Watched the first two eps and whilst they weren't bad, they certainly weren't great...

Psycho baby Lexi - totally agree with the above, seriously hope this goes somewhere decent but the story in the first two eps have left me shaking my head!

Skimmed through S04E01. I think this show is dead to me. Super baby Arc is out of control and brain washed scout troop is retarded. This show has changes so much from season 1 when an alien robots claxon meant certain death for any human in the open. They have lost the plot

I'm a few minutes into episode 3, and I just feel so lost. Is it just me or has this season been very jumpy and confusing so far?

It's not jumpy so much as they're not really setting stuff up.

I will say I am not hating the later eps like I did the premiere. But the scent of fail is strong and I don't know if they can pull out of this.

Okay, this season has officially grown on me. I just finished episode 10 and, while not great (i.e. any scene with only Tom and Anne — booooring and lacking in chemistry), it had enough genuinely good moments to balance it out.
