That could be the bridge, for sure. I would really like an AC that delved into viking history.

Some Assassin's Creed: Ragnarok rumors leaked. I guess it was originally posted on 4chan, so there is that, so obviously take with a grain of salt. I just sort of skimmed over it and found the following somewhat compelling.

- It likely takes place sometime between the 8th and 11th centuries, more than 1000 years after Assassin's Creed Odyssey. That means that it takes place after the canonical founding of the Assassin's Order, so we should get back to more formalized Assassin's vs. Templar action.

- Replacing adrenaline is a berserker mode which also activates special runes like fire, frost, or lightning damage.

- Sailing is less combat intensive and more focused on exploration and travel including being able to navigate tight rivers and wetlands.

- Players can find battles between warring kingdoms occurring dynamically throughout the world.

- Multiple settlements throughout the world can be captured and controlled for trade and currency gains.

- Players can organize large scale raids of forts and cities with nearby viking camps, wait for their own raids, or go in by themselves.

- The assassins are believed to have a connection to Odin and dub their raven drone as odin sight.

- The map is massive. Most of northern Europe. Source mentions big cities being York, London, Paris, and Kiev. Every kingdom is meant to be really unique.

Sounds amazing. I wonder if it'll be a launch game. Sounds like it would conflict with Watch Dogs 3 but maybe they'll have a month or two between them.

I hope these rumors come true, but I'm starting to have my suspicions. Some of the details are starting to hit too on the nose for my comfort. It seems as if a fan (or fans) of the show Vikings may have too much extra time on their hands and devised this. I hope not and really like what is being leaked. Experiencing an AC game with Rollo and the King of Wessex and seeing how they interpret those characters should be a hoot.

Well I'm hooked. Chose to pay as Kassandra and I've didn't ab enjoyable few hours traipsing around Kephalonia (sp?) and doing missions, both main and side. There's plenty of AC goodness in this and I'm assuming I'll get a hidden blade at some point to complete the outfit. I like the dialogue option bits and I'm trying to be "good" when possible as I've decided I'm going to try and get people to like me if I can. Dunno if it's going to have as much bearing on the story or experience as it did in Mass Effect but there's already been a few violence options I've avoided and a romance option I've followed...

Who knows when I'll play it next but I'm so glad to be back in this world.

So despite trying to be as good as possible I decided to kill the Wolf of Sparta. I wonder what he would have told me (or if he ends up being killed anyway) had I chosen the other option. This doesn't seem like the kind of game where the choices matter all that much.

Which is good cos I'm also trying to hook up with as many people as possible haha

If you decide not to kill him, he just walks away. You take the helm as 'proof' that you've slain him.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Ubi registered a domain for "Assassin's Creed: Valhalla"

And there's a livestream reveal of the key-art being drawn by a fairly known internet artist (apparently?)

So yeah, Vikings for the traditional mythological trifecta of Egypt/Greece/Norse.

More details probably coming soon

Not sure if I interpreted the notes in the description incorrectly, but they have something else to reveal soon? Or was that for this?

I saw some mention on Reddit there'd be a reveal tomorrow?

I'm curious about Ubisoft's plans here. Assassin's Creed is pretty much their flagship so you'd expect them to have it ready for the console launches, much like the (disastrous) Unity/Rogue release in 2013.

But what about Watch Dogs 3 then?

I could see AC not launching before February/March 2021.

Getting there. I am leaving the bloody cyclopses and some of rhe mythical beasts though, I never enjoy that sort of side quest frustration (same with those elephants in Origins). Although it is set up very similarly, I find the general Odyssee quests such as fort and camp clearouts to feel a lot less like rinse-repeat than Origins. Same for the mercenary fights, i actually really enjoy those even though there is an endless spawn of them and they pop up at the most inconvenient times. Odyssee is easily my most favourite of the entire series (though Black FlaG retains a soft spot).
