I finished season three last week it was awesome, even better than the second. Loved the season 4 opening.
I wonder where the hell Starbuck came from. Either she was reproduced by the cylons, which is a too obvious idea, or she was somehow teleported or transported through the eye of that storm.
It would be sweet if they find earth and a super advanced race of post-humans live there. I mean, you'd think that man-kind would be more advanced after 3000-4000 years on those colonies. Unless some kind of devolution of their societies was implemented for some reason long, long ago.
I like the fact that four new cylons have been revealed, it just doesn't make much sense that they're only revealed now. You would think we'd seen more copies of them on the base-ships like that asian chicks clones.
It was also bizar that sports-jog learns to be a pilot in two months. I guess they had to find a use for the character some-how.

RDM (showrunner, producer and head writer Ronald D. Moore) has dropped a massive clue as to who the final Cylon is:
Apt, the Final Five are completely different to the Significant Seven. They apparently act and operate in a radically different manner. There are no copies on the other basestars as they and the Seven are not on the same team. The inference from the Temple of the Five being on the Algae Planet for 3,000 years suggests that the Final Five may predate both the mechanical and humanoid Cylons from this iteration of the Cycle of Time and could even be immortal, which would be pretty messed up.

Brilliant season 4 opener! Loves it!
I'm still not sure where it is all going, but I still can't get that half-breed Cylon from Battlestar Galactica: Razor out of my head.
That was hella ominous.

I was just happy to see it on the air again. I'm quite stumped where it's going. I'm beginning to wonder if the whole point of the Cylons all along has been to find the Five. Maybe the Five are actually holdovers from a previous time ("all of this has happened before," right?) hiding among humanity all these years to prevent humanity's extinction?
EDIT - My other pet theory is that although the 13th colony went off to find Earth, they never made it. Or at least, didn't last once they got there. I'm thinking the Rag Tag Fleet actually arrives on Earth in antiquity, and becomes what we think of today as classical Greek civilization.

OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

The only flaw with this theory is that the song the four revealed Cylons on Galactica last season heard was the song "All Along The Watchtower" by Jimi Hendrix, which leads to believe that Earth is at least past the 1960's.....otherwise how does this permeate the Cylon models enough that they quote it out loud.

Unless of course the song is just a 13 colonies version of the 'real' Bob Dylan song.
Anyrate, loved the S4 opener - those first ten minutes or so were brilliant great fun, possibly the best since the Exodus episodes. Ummm...

Anyrate, overall, great ep and i'm just hoping they can maintain the level for the duration of their last season. S3 REALLY downturned in the middle there once they got off New Caprica until the finale.

Instead of making a new thread I thought I'd bring up a funny idea that pop'd into my head the other night.
Is it just me or does the character Admiral Helena Cain, the Pegasus Admiral that arrived in season 2 and returned in Razor, bare a striking resemblance to Adjunct Tavore of the 14th?
Cold, brilliant, ruthless and gay.
What say you?

Then...T'amber is a Cylon?
*suddenly books make sense*
Anyway QT, good point about them quoting that song. That does kinda flush that theory in the pooper. I do agree about someone playing both humans and Cylons, and I'm wondering if it's the 12th Cylon who is the real puppetmaster. I like the notion that at least #12 (if not the Final Five) are holdovers from when this "happened before."

The second episode of the season was almost a complete waste of time. The only story driven forward at all was Starbuck's insistence that they needed to go the other way....and even that was drawn WAY the hell out. The rest of the episode was fluff.....I mean ten full minutes overall about Apollo's leaving Galactica to go to ....another ship in the fleet....?! Are you effing kidding me?
Sigh.
Episode 3 had better be WAY more interesting than the filler that was episode 2.

Darkest. Episode. Ever.
Crazy direction and really disturbing music built up to a shocking finale. I'd heard what was going to happen but not how it happened. Holy crap.
Some interesting background details: 'Weapons Locker 1701D' is an obvious homage to producer Ronald D. Moore's first job in the business (writing and producing for ST:TNG). And at about 28 minutes, when the other basestars jump in, you can clearly see the constellation of Orion in the background. An easter egg or the producers hinting that the Cylons and the Fleet are approaching Earth's neighbourhood?
