we should kill n'gog, tear out his heart and stitch it into kuyt, so he has another ten years.

Fact of the matter is, though, that N'Gog's been looking a lot sharper than Carrol in the first few matches. Granted, it's only pre-season. But then again, it's pre-season for the both of them. There's no reason N'Gog should have the better over Carrol here.

B ut whether or not Ngog is playing well or not is moot. Imho, the problem is that Ngog is a whole different player than Carroll. He was intended to play in the same role as/ complementary to Torres. You could see ngog as a substitute for Suarez if you squint, but there's no way he's going to be useful as a Carroll replacement in the box.
Given that Downing and perhaps Adam have been bought for supply to that box, we're being awfully dependant on one pony-tailed striker with a penchant for Jägerbombs, and trading Ngog in for someone who can head a ball becomes kinda important.

Who? Well, actually, both Carroll and N'Gog turned 22 this year, promise of talent doesn't hold as an argument for either of them.

Ngog looked good last season in august, then reverted to type. Only good against shit teams.
Carroll has proved he can perform at the highest level, albeit in a different system than Liverpool usually play

I'm not saying that N'Gog is a replacement for Carroll. I'm saying we should rid ourself of both of them.

massive waste of capital, and it is not like Higuain or Aguerro would sign for Liverpool...

N'gog won't get a sniff next season. Kuyt, Suarez, and Carroll. N'gog is not a good player, he isn't consistent enough. I'm happier this season than any season in the last 3-4 years. Suarez is the key to our success next season I believe. Who are we targetting now?

It is perfectly monstrous the way people go about nowadays saying things against one, behind one's back, that are absolutely and entirely true.

anyone catch the pre seasons in asia?

as much as it pains me to say it, n'gog looked decent in yesterdays malasian match. against a shit defense in fairness though.

aquilani also looked good and charlie adam seems like agreat buy.

i have an account with lfc.tv if anyone wants to watch the highlights

I would ;)

Thanks Macross much appreciated

Given time on the pitch, I can imagine him turning out quite all right. He's been good for the reserves, at any rate. Not good enough for to contend for a first team position, and probably stagnated a bit at the reserves. If he gets to play consistently for Blackpool I think he could help them back into the Premiership.
