Tevez bid made by The Corinthians

EDIT Just reading through that article made me think. He obviously wants to leave Man City. What are the rules about that? I doubt they want him to go seen as he actually got them some silverware last season, yet can they force him to stay? Seems it's a bit of a murky area...

It's not a murky area at all. If he signed a contract then it's down to them whether he goes, unless there's a release clause or he's got short enough time to buy himself out of it (I think it's a year to do that).

Same goes for Modric- he just signed a new five-year deal, it's not on him kicking off now. If he wanted the option of leaving he should have asked for a release clause.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

Yup, there is no murkiness involved. No one forced them to sign those multi-million pound contracts... most clubs will let a player go if it becomes obvious they cannot continue to perform at their best, but it's not the player's decision.

Poulsen's agent has said no movement is on the cards, and FC Copenhagen have not approached him or the player. "His future is on Merseyside" -- oh dear.

Yeah, and the papers also said FCK would pay £2.5 million for him. Not in a million years would a Danish club spend that amount of money on a 30-year old. If Liverpool's hoping to get any amount of money for him (at least in that price range), he'll never go back to Denmark.

Jovanovic and Poulsen need to go aswell as Maxi. In 6 months well have made the money back for charlie adam in wages if theyve gone.

So Stewart downings done. I cant help thinking that weve spent 35 for Caarrol 16-20 for Henderson 20 for downing and 8 for Adam that Adam is the best out of all four. Why were paying through the nose for engliush talent is beyond me especially since the FA are never going to pass that that 5 British player minumum rule like in La Liga.

Jovonvic is 30 years old and a dead weight. Ngog is like 22 and might turn good if Kenny gives him a chance. Im not holding my breath but still.

Unfortunately Dirk 'legend' Kuyt is 30 this year. I want him forever

We just bought Brazilian goalkeeper Doni from Roma, as back-up for Reina. He's 31, prime for a keeper,

The Sunderland deal was off when they bought Wickham instead. I think I've heard talks of Aston Villa and West Ham for N'Gog.

we should kill n'gog, tear out his heart and stitch it into kuyt, so he has another ten years.

anyone catch the pre seasons in asia?

as much as it pains me to say it, n'gog looked decent in yesterdays malasian match. against a shit defense in fairness though.

aquilani also looked good and charlie adam seems like agreat buy.

i have an account with lfc.tv if anyone wants to watch the highlights

Given that heart is all Kuyt's got going for him, that'd be a really shit move.

Fact of the matter is, though, that N'Gog's been looking a lot sharper than Carrol in the first few matches. Granted, it's only pre-season. But then again, it's pre-season for the both of them. There's no reason N'Gog should have the better over Carrol here.

N'Gog always flatters to deceive in pre-season, though.

Yeah, but despite him being as shit as he is, I think he's a better fit for the other players in the squad than Carrol is. I thought it was obvious when Carrol came in and broke up the partnership between Suarez and Kuyt last season. Carrol just doesn't play along with the fluid, Liverpool way of playing like the rest of them.

He's young enough to learn -- he's only 21!
