To be fair, Dzeko is ace and I reckon that'd be the sort of tag he'd be going for anyway, especially with the dearth of really good young strikers at the moment.

and how many of them were worthy of the price tag before the buy out?

Tevez and Dzeko most certainly, and probably Adebayor, too. Just not in the way Citteh uses him.... rather with a great technical nr 10 to do all the hard work except perhaps the scoring, like at Arsenal.

I'm just worried they're linking Adebayor to Liverpool now... cause a massive battering ram clearly fits the way the remainder of the squad plays? I wish Hodgson would be told to fuck off before he gets to spend around 30 million euro on players complementary to "his vision", who are proving to be a complete waste of cash when someone capable takes over halfway through the second half of the season and has to dump them in the summer. After all, judging by what he bought so far.... I'd say the ones (poulsen, mereiles, konchesky) he did get are not quite the pillars under the team, aren't they?

Uniteds 19th title will be record breaking, the worst any team has played to win the title.
Also be the first team to win 19

I'm guessing Comolli got Hodgson hamstrung on the transfermarket this window, so I'm not to worried about Adebayor or another Poulsen fuck up. That said, Mereiles is a class player, and it's unfair of you to lump him in with Poulsen and Konchesky.

Edit: 'cept he's gone now, inn'e? RRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Complete opposite. Berbatov dived, no pen. Gerrard went in with both feet off the ground, definite red.

Yeah, Berbatov dived like a bitch but the red was inarguable, two-footed lunge.

Berbatov went to ground like a sack of potatoes for sure..But Agger fucked up and knew it. What makes it questionable is the amount of time it took Web to make up his mind if it was a penalty.
As for Gerard, yeah he went it studs up. And yeah it was stupid. I still think he was unlucky and should have gotten just a yellow.

Apparently, Ryan Babel had some not very nice things to say about the ref after the game.

Babel sorry for dig at Webb

Also quoted in that article though was this rant from Glen Johnson after Paul Merson criticised his recent performances:

Quote

"Comments from alcoholic drug abusers are not really gonna upset me and who is Paul Merson to judge players, he was average at the best of times," Johnson wrote. "The only reason he's on that show is coz he gambled all his money away. The clown!"

Ouch.

Closest Johnson's got to succesfully tackling an attacking player all season.

I'll take back everything bad I've said about Mereilles.

Poulsen and Konchesky are still piles of crap, though.

seems Raul is finally starting to show his worth.
Poulsen will always be a dungbag.
I can not for the life of me see why Johnson is not played as a winger, Kelly is more solid defensively anyway. it could be a gareth bale situation here with johnson (unlikely, but a guy can hope)
Kenny listen to me.
Buy a left back.
Johnson as right wing.
buy a left winger.
Buy a striker
buy a holding midfielder

What a game... Unlucky Blackpool but kind of ominous look to it now with Man Utd, looking stronger with every game... Once they finally kicked into gear!

Enjoying the fact that Andy Gray can no longer offend my ears every week (£100 says ITV hire him). I liked his appreciation of stats, however everything else about him added up to giant twat.

My major piece of evidence is his comments in the champs league final a few years ago when it was Barca vs Arsenal. Leman got sent off early on and he claimed that the ref ruined the game. His argument was that the ref could have just played advantage and waited to see if Barca scored, the logic being that if they did score, he wouldn't have to send Leman off. Bullshit, mate. A red is a red. If he had played advantage, he should have still sent him off after the fact.
