I thought Lerner has done a pretty decent job actually, mostly working within the boundaries of the club.

can you blame them for fighting the take over when they are set to lose £140m+ on the deal... looks like a 9 point deduction will be heading your way...
also are NESV going to be any better, not heard much about them to make a fair judgement but going on the history of the Glaziers, Lerner and Hicks & Gillett... well nothing more is really needed to be said...

It can't be worse - and I think the only way they get money to recoup their investment is by having the team do well. When Hicks and Gillet stepped in, Liverpool was doing very well. H&G intended to profit from that by building up the marketing branch.
Now, the team is a joke, and to profit from the marketing branch some more (which, in the end, is what has to repay NESVs investment), the sports results need to be good, or every Korean, Chinese, Japanese and US kid wants a Man U shirt for christmas instead of a Torres shirt.

If you want to see a snapshot of how dopey most football fans are, read this article and then the hilariously clueless comments from angry Liverpool fans who don't get the joke.

I found the caption under the picture of torres to be just as hilarious to be honest

Brilliant TT, loved it, though some of the points he makes are actually quite fair. The guy who was like "Erm, no, Pennant hasn't been playing for 2 years" cracked me up!

After their rescue the chilean miners are being treated to a trip to Anfield.
Undoubtedly they will be asked to advise Roy on how to get out of a big fucking hole before christmas

Eleven of them are up now. I wonder who'd have won if we fielded our best eleven against those Chileans right now.

I'm beginning to feel a bit sorry for the fans, those two clearly only care about what money they can make out of it and not at all about the club or football! They say they do, but they don't seem to care that the club might lose 9 points.

The fans don't really care about loosing nine points, either. We just want the bastards gone. Besides, it's not like we're going to place this season anyway.

It's all getting rediculous now. Last minutes sale injunctions from Texas, trying to sell out to ANOTHER American company, court deadlines. Apparently this could go right up to the RBS 16:00 cut-off point. Does anyone else get the feeling we are going to get it handed to us at Goodison???

Well, that wont be because of the ruckus with the ownership. It'll be because we're playing Lucas and Poulson in the middle.

Now all the friends that you knew in school they used to be so cool, now they just bore you.

Funny, it was this phrase "Frankly, it was unbecoming of a club whose fans have always carried themselves with a quiet, unassuming dignity" that amused me the most.

It's all looking quite close between 2nd and 5th at the moment. Is it too much to ask that Blackpool beat City today? Or at least get a draw
