I never thought I'd catch myself saying this, but... I've been quite impressed by Joey Barton this season. He's playing well, and, more importantly took a right kicking from Wolves last time out and didn't even moan once to the ref. A changed man?

Not saying he wasn't impressively resilient from Karl Henry's batterings, just there's only so long the little scrote can keep it up.
He'll soddomise some opposiion player with the corner flag before the years out, mark my words.

Well, if they are anything like your attack they are probably all knackered out from shagging hookers.
Now all the friends that you knew in school they used to be so cool, now they just bore you.
Just look at em' now, already pullin' the plow. So quick to take to grain, like some old mule.

Only the League cup I know......., but ffs....., Northampton Town !?!?!?

:)

The most embarrassing result of the night (year) for sure.

With Chelsea, City, Spurs and Everton also out it's there for the taking for the Scum or the Arse

I can see the headlines now - "Carling Cup Final, Man U vs Arsenal: Who doesn't care about winning it the least?"

I hate the Gooners' reserve team. It's actually pretty good :)

To be fair, the team they played on Tuesday was hardly 'reserves'. Eboue, Koscielny, Wilshere, Rosicky, Denilson and Wilshere are definitely not this season and I suspect Gibbs and Vela will both be playing fairly significant first team roles as well, Vela mostly off the bench.

The embarrassment over the way we play these days is topped only by our managers post match comments. Satisfied after holding Sunderland to 2-2 at Anfield?! Where the fuck are you from?!

Also, if your hand is over your head when you handball inside the 18-yard box it is a penalty. Get off it, you fucking knob!

I'm left feeling like a Liverpool fan today. Utterly embarassed by the sheer laziness, incompetence and not-giving-a-toss-iness of our players.

West Brom were unlucky not to cane us about 7-0. Barring Nasri, not a single Arsenal player even bothered to put in 5 minutes running. Nobody looked where they were passing, tracked back, made space, tried to tackle or mark, or even run. Pathetic. Diaby once more showed why he's an enormous clunge, Eboue plays like atht far too often, and why Almunia is in goal instead of a 2 year old handicapped child whose legs have been eaten by a gibbon and is blind deaf and mute, I don't know because the latter would be better. The only way to get worse would be to put Fabianksi in.

From the same land as everyone else who isn't a Liverpool fan, who realises that they're a decent mid-table team these days, on a similar kind of level to Sunderland? :)

I'd argue that, player for player, our first 11 is only beat by Chelsea and ManCity. Hodgson is a mediocre manager who's only managed mediocre teams to mostly mediocre positions on the table (aka. great positions considering the circumstances of the club). And for some reason he's stuck in the formation that didn't work under the last manager. Except he's added his little twist to things, so no one has any clue of what to do and instead is left standing and watching with mild disinterest as their team mates fail and fail yet again.

I just watched the Liverpool reserves against Chelsea reserves - by far preferable to this Saturday's game against Sunderland. Chelsea were completely dominant in the first 30 minutes, but in the second half we played some good, pass and move football. Granted, we still lost 3-1, which was deserved considering the fist half. But the first team should take note of the play we produced in the second half. Pass and fucking move!

They're simply determined to outdo the disappointment that is Arsenal, it seems.

Dude, you're fourth, they're second bottom.

They're more like chasing for the utter hilarity of Newcastle two seasons ago or maybe even doing a Leeds.

Leeds gambled and missed. Theirs was a story of trying to break into the top four, champions league and the financial world they were in. They failed, and payed the consequences. Liverpool just decided, after being a contender for the title in 2009, to play shit.
