Yeha I think the GM wants to keep it very low level, or isn't really aware of the limitations it is putting on us... it is his first time GMing and playing GURPS

That Elephant is looking rather frayed at the edges

I know two of my players min/maxed and has made them hard to stop without throwing heavy stuff at them.
But the disadvantages will be interesting. The cheesy factor will be awesome.

Yeah, I can take a limitation that makes it Emergencies Only. But I'm not sure if I need to take Wild Talent or pick a spell that will 'go off' in said emergency situations.

Welcome to the weekend Tricksters!
I have a long 2 days of sitting on my ass and resting planned. With a couple runs thrown in so i dont feel like a complete fatass.
And BBQ chicken pizza for lunch, and ordering a big enough one, for dinner also.

As much as I hate getting up before 9 am, the prospect of a 9 to 5 job with included weekends off is getting more and more appealing. I hate working weekends, and working with only a day off during the week.
Also I loath clients.
It's gotten to the point that me and the girl I usually work with are describing ever more violent scenarios to be enacted on the clients.
I need to get this bloody project over with to have the time to go out and drop resumes everywhere.
The bonus is one of the cosmetics girls has made us laugh twice this week with questions like:
"Who is Libya?"
and
Me: So ready for the federal election?
Her: Uh... you mean voting for the mayor?
Me: ...
Currently having tea in an attempt to re centre myself.

In about 27 minutes it will be Earth hour Eastern time.
Anyone going dark?
I'll turn my lights out but the computer is staying on. School is more important than saving the planet.
Edit:
I wish I had the patience to see all the people blogging, facebooking or tweeting about their Earth hour from a computer that is plugged in.

Hmm...give something good to ponder over...
Tell me, dear barkeep, what is it about British men that when they hit their late thirties, early forties causes them to become distingushed looking and, well, down right hot despite their original appearance. Of course there are a few exceptions...yes, I'm talking to you Robbie Williams...but in general it seems to me that British guys do get more attractive with time. And yes, this revelation has been brought once again to my attention due to the release of Take That's new song....when did they get so cool? I mean, does anyone else remember the music video for 'Promises'? Yet now I would totally agree to go back to their spaceship if asked...except by you Robbie, there's no helping you.

That video makes very little sense.
As for looking better as they get older, I've never seen any of them younger.

what a ridiculous day.
teh only prank that's been pulled on me was my manager, alerting us that there will be no weekly bonuses, since some of the supervisors yesterday didn't lock the door when leaving the office, and we've been robbed.
Since I read the given message on my phone in class, I didn't get to the April fools' part for quite some time. turns out it WAS a joke, and I got $50 extra this week. I heart my job.
then, later on in the day, as I was coming home from getting money and grocery shopping, I decide to cut a huge corner, cutting through this field-type place, instead of following the streets. this involves crossing a pile of snow, that's a sorry remains of a mostly melted glacier.
And my foot falls in. actually, my leg, up to the just over the knee (about two feet deep). And I feel the ice-cold meltwater flooding my sneaker. And i can't pull my foot out.
it was quite a rush, picturing how I might lose an extermity, being trapped in the last vestiges of the Winnipeg winter.
I'm sure it took me no more than 2-3 minutes to desperately dig myself out,(clawing at the snow, grabbing a pocketknife, tugging in desperation) but it sure as hell seemed like much longer.
And later on in the evening, after I got home my laptop got virus-bombed, causing me to spend about two hours saving it. now it's pretty much on standby, until my brand-new Kaspersky takes a day to perform a full system scan. thank god it's payday.
On the bright side, since I had nothing better to do, I read "Changes", the latest Dresdencrack novel to come out in mmpb. which explains why i'm posting at 4 AM.
And tomorrow i'm probably gonna go on a book-buying spree at Chapters, and among other things pick up a copy of the first Dresden book for the girl-I-thought-I-liked-but-she's-made-clear-we're-strictly-friends. Because she like vampire lit, and thinks Twilight was stupid.

On my way home from Campus I heard an Australian woman say: "He's in a t-shirt."
Considering I was the only one within sight to be in a t-shirt (everyone else had coats, the pussies) I assume she was talking about me.
I've just checked the temperature and it is +8 C outside. It's more than warm enough for t-shirts.
Now I'm not singling out Australians because my own countrymen say the same thing. I just found it funny to hear an Aussie accent so clearly and speaking as if she had just glimpsed some sort of rare wild life.

People! People! Please, don't get up. No, no, no, the applause isn't necessary, really. Thank you, thank you!
