Sweet jesus, how do you people manage living in warmer countries? It's 20 degrees, 1:40am, and I can't sleep because I'm ridiculously warm. Got the windows open, fan on, everything, and still it's hotter than the sun in here.

Air conditioning.

Bad for the environment, but it's heavenly.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Good morning boys! Sleeping commando is the only way to go imo, or at least it's the way I like to sleep. I feel for you though TT, it's hot and humid here in Winnipeg too and that can make it impossible to sleep. I just have the ac up as high as it can go, and I've also got ceiling fans in most rooms in my house which helps with the air circulation.

Sorry to see England go out yesterday, I know alot of you were cheering for them. I was too, but I just didn't think it would happen. That disallowed Lampard goal was complete and utter bull shit though. I was not pleased at all with that. In the end I don't think it would have mattered though, they were just out played by a much better team. I'm pissed that Argentina won, I was hoping Mexico would advance. Again though Argentina is the much better team, and the deserved to win. South America is ruling this tournament right now and I expect one of the South American teams (Brazil!!) will take it all.

Doughnuts are on the bar in a box for SB. Cupcakes and tea are out for FW, I've got some pizza there for KM and some Ikea meatballs for TT. Oh and some aloe vera in case you did go out and get sun burned!

Remember peeps this weekend is the first TB's Skittle Bomb Night, so you'd better be there. We should work out a final time and set up these pub games before hand.

Have a good day!

:p

20 degrees is nothing! Try having nights in the mid 30s. That'll singe the hair off your chest. I always find going commando to be weird though. Guess I haven't done it enough. Boxers and no doonah is the best solution for me.

By the way, a fan will do jack shit if you have the window open (the same with a heater in winter) - in summer the air outside is generally warmer, so all you'll be doing is circulating warm air around your house and making it worse. Close the windows and maybe draw the curtains, then the air stays cool, and doesn't get warmed up by the outside air. The fan will keep the air circulating and stop it getting stuffy. Open all the doors in your house too, that helps.

Morning SB and STD my Girfiend! I hope you're going to be watching the Brazil game this afternoon STD! Although I guess that's probably going to be fairly early in the morning for you by that point, especially with you having to work tomorrow. Netherland vs Slovakia is on now, I can't say I care too much either way who wins this one. I guess I'm cheering for Slovakia as they are a bit of an underdog and I always have a soft spot for the underdog. Not going too well for them atm though.

I got the important walls down. Actually ended up tearing off about 1/4 of the entire house. Plus it was about 100 outside, that was a looong day. So now its the more fun of putting it all back together.

I think i've drank a pot of coffee today, I'm hyper as shit!

I generally sleep commando even in winter, and air con isn't worth installing for the few days a year we get sun here. Tonight I'm going to try the old method of drinking a wee bit too much to help me pass out. Magic. Sorry TB, but I'll be rooting for Chile tonight - come on Alexis Sanchez, there'smoney on you!

Glad to see Holland win today, £85 comes my way if they win the tournament, so a step closer now.

What time do festivities commence Saturday? I think I'm out for a while, but I should be back by about 1am-ish to join in, and I'll already be plastered, so not even any catching up to do! Could go out Friday instead though, so we'll see.

Hahaha no need for penicillin Abyss thank you! The French/English translation of MTS is STD hence the nickname. He once used the word Girlfiend instean of Girlfriend and so I adopted the word and he's now STD my Girlfiend. Confusing I know, but it makes sense to us.

@TT I think we will commence drinking an hour or two before you get home so things should be in full swing by the time you arrive.

@SB It doesn't look like the back part of your home is left! Where is the house!
