Well I was never here to witness the rep wars, but now that rep is available again I still don't see how or why it broke out into such a huge deal. I guess it's one of those things you had to be there for.

There is no longer the prestige of the rep power and the exponentially growing rep build up.

Also, I have crushed all opposition, what with Bubba seemingly bowing out and Illuyankas having lost his manhood. Also the Inn seems a bit less spammy and chaotic than it was a couple of years ago.

You didn't have to be there. Just imagine nonsensical spamfests that marginally revolved around a theme of antagonizing and demeaning the opposing side, with random folk jumping on the wagon of either side. And some moderators actively encouraging it all. And then mass-repping of every post by the leaders of each side.

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

I miss reminiscing.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

We will have to draw the rules for Kings up ourselves, since not all the rules will work online. We need thirteen actions, and to link them to cards. Creating little rhymes or logical links between the action and the card also helps everyone remember.

These are pretty standard to most Kings games:

A card that makes you drink
A card that allows you to nominate someone to drink
A card where all the guys drink
A card where all the girls drink
A rule-making card
A rule breaking card

We can also do doubles versions of the first two if we are struggling to come up with actions. Usually the remainder of the cards cue some minigame, the loser of which has to drink. I don't know how many would work on the internet though.

Sevens and rhyming probably wouldn't, since they need to be played quickly and in some sort of order. We could probably do a version of thumbs that involves typing out a long complicated word instead of putting your thumb on the table.

The kings glass obviously won't work, so I think the king should just make everyone drink.

We could probably also do something by timezone, say all Americans drink, all others drink. Alternatively everyone in your timezone drinks, everyone in a different timezone drinks, if we want to make things a bit more unpredictable.

I think that leaves only a few more actions to assign, any other ideas?

I like the idea of time zones drinking, I think we should have one to do with avatars. Like everyone with a kitteh avatar drinks, everyone with a human being in their avatar drinks. The all girls card should be fun as I'm likely to be the only girl drinking. King should definitely be everyone drinking.

This is this Saturday, right?

As for Kings games, Never Have I Ever is probably a bit too difficult to play?

No no we are having two TB skittle bomb nights. The first one is this Saturday, the second one is August 8th. Not everyone could make it out to the first one, so TT suggested having two nights, which is what we are doing.

Are you going to be here on Saturday HMQB?
