Is it me, or are Steam errors becoming ever more frequent? Had to re-install it around 3 times last week.

I've heard that there is some kind of controversy surrounding the guy all though I have yet to hear what it is about. Is it related to his days commentating World of Warcraft?

I used to watch his shows for that aye, though every now and again it just showed just how full of himself he is.

I mainly listen to/watch his youtube channel. I like hearing his input in the semi-daily mailbox about current video game related events. He's generally very knowledgeable and opinionated on a large variety of subjects which makes his videos entertaining. Don't know if he's very full of himself, he certainly comes off as elitist, but that is a part of his brand I believe. This no-nonsense "only the best is good enough" approach to commentary and gameplay.

That's quite it - he's nowhere near as knowledgable as he would claim to be, and he's way too opinionated than it would be warranted. Only the best is good enough? Pity he doesn't match his own standards.
You want WoW-related content, go to Fatboss (PvE), Cartoonz, Mercader, and especially Lore's Weekly Marmot and PST - Lore's pretty much what TotalBiscuit wants to be, all the while having both feet on the ground.

Not quite a video game, but I've found myself enjoying HeroAcademy quite a bit on the iPhone. It's a free, turn based strategy game where you summon knights, wizards, clerics, sorcerers, not to mention bonus equipment and spells to destroy your opponent. It's multiplayer only and the game lets you know when a new move has been made, so you can have several games running simultaneously.
I found it through Penny-Arcade, where both seemed to speak quite warmly of the game.
So, if anyone would like to try out this free game, I'd like to play against people I know rather than random opponents . My gamer tag is Sariel.

Vengy tried to get me to join too but alas I'm in need of an upgrade to my toy before I'm able to play and I don't see that happening anytime soon so do me a favor and kick him in his bearded face and make him cry for his mommy for me.

Anyone else interested in the three I've got linked? I only found out about Dear Esther today and I'm pretty excited about the possibilities, Lollipop Chainsaw just calls to my inner zombie slaying cheerleader and The Witness has the promise of being the first decent puzzle adventure game in a long time.
Thoughts?

Amalur looks interesting, although I'm deffo not paying full-price for it--not when I have a huge backlog from all the 2011 Steam Sales to get through. I figure i may get it around xmass 2011. I know some people who are put off by a pretty WoW-ish art style, though.
ME3 is also a possibility (once I get through the first 2, which are somewhere in the above-mentioned backlog)
