This is the route we took. This is idiotic. Look at Kaspersky, which sells those "3 computers, 2 years" kind of subscription plan. That kind of license works really well for this type of computing. I'll have fun playing the campaign off and on, but dang, the insistence on routing everything through Battlenet is creepy.

@Mentalist - I did see those, though I do wonder why on Earth I haven't shared them :p

@amphibian - I'm guessing they really, really liked the money from WoW and it's "one copy one account" and high resistance to piracy. Only 1 cpu logged in from 1 account. Only 1 account from 1 copy. There's enough sheepish people with too much money that bought multiple accounts, non-combat pets, mounts, card games etc for them to clearly see a market here, and seriously, from where THEY are standing, and considering it's Activision, it's hardly a surprise.

Borderlands: Claptraps New Robot Revolution, release date September 28!!!!!

Yeah, so this looks pretty damn awesome. Bigger than Knoxx, which I thought was a damn good DLC. Another 8 level bump and all the old bosses are brought back by the Claptraps.

They say in the article that less than 1% of players defeated Crawmerax in the Knoxx DLC. Me and a couple of my friends pulled it off after about 50 damn tries. :veryangry:

I tried to take out Crawmerax by myself (that was the ant lion/beetle type monstrosity down the dead end path the opens up into its lair, correct?). I failed miserably and gave up as it didn't become available until the end of the game and I moved on to another game. I''ll have to give it another go, but that was a tough boss... I got my ass kicked!

Shogun 2, Diablo 3, and Metal Gear Solid: Rising are the ones I'm really looking forward to on that list.

Nice list to be sure. It seems old school RTS are making a comeback (probably because SCII sold like hot cakes)
lots of MMOs on that list i couldn't care less about, though.
in a lot of cases, all that is said about a game is that its designed by 7pX who did Y which was great.
also, too many sequels being touted as sequels to awesome games, disregarding the fact that the game will be nothing like the original (Max Payne 3 and XCOM, looking at you)
in any case, im excited for D3, although i expect a delay,, lol, as well as Deus EX 3 (btw, they released a new trailer, cant post on phone, buts its nice)
also, a bunch of those RTSs look interesting.. And doe RPGs/indies, but names escape me.

my most awaited game atm is by far Witcher 2.

Shogun 2 is my most awaited game.

From then on, Six Gun Saga (looks almost like a Doomtown CCG return in the wording with dudes and deeds) because Cryptic Comet (1 man studio) has delivered one good (Solium Infernum) and one truly great (Armageddon Empires) indie game.

Jagged Alliance 3, DoW 2 add-on, Alice 2, Beyond Good and Evil 2, Tropico 4 (I have a soft spot for the original one and nr 3, essentially a re-make of 1) and possibly Diablo 3 (not a big fan anymore of clickety-click hack&slash since dungeon siege 2 and the unfortunately buggy Hellgate London, although Borderlands is amusing) are must haves as well.

I'm sorta looking forward to Avadon, Spiderweb Softwares new IP. I've followed the company on and off since their Exile days, and the Geneforge mechanics really entertained me.

A lot of crappy games/series and then Diablo 3 !!

Dunno about that spiritual successer to Dungeon Keeper, Dungeons. DK was fantastic. Not sure how good this new one will be.

Saw a name or two on the list that sounds pretty nice. But diablo3 will be so epic

@ Gothos: I feel the same way about the guys who did S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (which is also getting a sequel)

i seriously wan to play beyond good and evil, bu the damn thing wont load on Windows 7....

Regarding X-Com (reboot), it might actually be done well if they make it a creepy horror/adventure game like the first Resident Evil, then slowly morph it into a squad based tactical combat shooter.

They also have reviews up that talk about having a base and how that base grows with more rooms and more stuff to do inside it, so it might be a reboot/reimaging, but they seem to have some pretty decent plants on how they want to do it, and I am just hoping they don't butcher how amazing the first ones were.

Obsidian gets to do ANOTHER classic RPG sequel? hmm.

Dead state looks interesting. but then again, i'm a sucker for anything Troika-made after bloodlines.
AGOT RTS might be cool too... depending on how they make it.
I think by then i'll finally get around to getting DoWII


overall, good list, lots to look forward to. I'm happy about the many PC games that are cropping up.
still, though, too many MMOS!

No, just not as much as those others. It's hard for me to get much interested in video games anymore, and even the ones that do really spark my interest I only occasionally buy.
