Said this in another thread, but it bears repeating here - Returnal is a dumb name.
That is all, carry on as you were.

I quite like the look of the new playstation. And I appreciate that their presentation mainly focus on games. Also, Demon's Souls!

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

PS5 Is Redesigning 100% Of Its Dashboard
I'll be interested to see what this entails. The current layout has been ingrained for a few generations now, yeah? As these things go, there will probably be a lot of complaints.

Star Wars: Squadrons. We need to talk about it. That might be a Star Wars game I could play. I might even proudly join you fan-squirters and dig for those green meanies and nibble away. There's something about an arcadey space shoot-em-up that has always been right in my wheelhouse.

It's primarily a multi-player oriented game, so I largely don't care for it.
I am also hopelessly behind in Star Wars lore, as the last numbered movie I saw was Episode 3. The only post-Disney canon thing I'm aware of is Solo, cuz we watched that during a stag weekend whilst hungover.
EDIT: also, anyone who has a PC and likes soulsborne games needs to check out the demo for Vigil: the Longest Night. It's a Metroidvania RPG with a Soulslike combat and a very bloodborne-esque aesthetic to its monsters (also inspired by Taiwanese folklore, apparently, for that exotic feel)
It is really, really good.
and for something totally different:
A Bioshock-like, but sci-fi? Looks interesting. if there's nothing else that's super interesting that comes out this week, might grab and check it out.

I don't follow Fart Warts very much either. Demographic is for safe, fun, predictable entertainment for children (*cough booger eaters *cough). I watch the movies when they run on my cable provider. I haven't seen the latest Rise of Fartwalker though. I enjoy the stand alone films more.
The game is supposed to have a story campaign. Don't know the details, but I'm guessing it will entail blowing up a big laser shitting planet, that is taking years to complete building, and is a sitting duck begging to be attacked, but we'll wait until it's functional and has destroyed the planet of my uncle, who is a humble farmer and family man.

That's a unique and creative story idea, Kazooie. You should try and sell it to Disney.
I'm not sure what to think of Squadron. Besides the first Star Fox I'm not sure I've ever played any pure 3D flight games. It would have to be pretty casual for me to go for it.

Freelancer is the best space-shooty game I ever played. Nothing has come close.

I don't see an option to fly the Millenium Falcon or Ghost. That's disappointing. It looks visually outstanding, though.

The Millenium Falcon wouldn't work well I don't think. Isn't it a flying garbage barge that can barely fart and has to be kicked to make it go in to hyperspace? I forget a lot about it to be honest, but I remember it wasn't the most agile craft. I can see it offered as a microtransaction you have to pay for, get them fan-squiters doling out their dad's money.
I see this as more you play on the good side with the tyefighters - princess layuh and the bad guy side - derth vayder - with the x wang fighters... or did I get those backwards?

Strong suggestion before you play The Last of Us 2, in fact I would say it is required:
if you haven't played the original in a long time (it came out in 2013) or don't plan on playing it again before playing TLoU2, find a complete story recap video of the first game on YouTube or a fan wiki that covers what happened.

I don't think you have to worry about that. It seems to be a more straight forward hack and slash game than the punishing Souls games.

Biomutant is alive, and lookin' good
Really hoping we can get it (relatively) soon. THQN loves their December release slot, so I'm hopeful.
