That wasn't Assassin's Creed gameplay, that's just in-engine cinematics..

Running thoughts as usual:
-no comments on the fluff, except more Double-fine news coming?
-ooh I know this game. I own it, actually. is this part 2 that's in dev right now? yep, Infinite is the second part.
Codemasters? must be new Dirt Rally. Or Dirt 5. close enough
-is this... SCORN? IT"S ALIVE???? NO WAI!!!!
-whoa, and coming to GamePass. neat No release date tho
-Deep Silver and their mobie/porting house.... ooh, a space shooter. looks all right.
okay, madden. time for some work.
-that's alot of logos.
this... ooh BLOODLINES 2!!!!!!
-a Malkavian! GIVE ME A RELEASE DATE!!!! fuuuuuuuu
-ooh, something new. Call of the Sea, interesting
This... looks familiar.
An ARPG that looks like it's set in the Prey 2 city- Ascent
-Gamepass title- Medium. Who's it by? Oh, Bloober Team. The Blair Witch didn't do too hot, but this looks promising. And they got the Silent Hill composer? nice
BAMCO anime title. Is that a new GodEater? with physics? all those particles and physics.
New IP, "Scarlet Nexus", but probably from the God Eater, or maybe Attack on Titan devs
-Oh hey, Avalanche made a co-op Dino shooter. This was teased a few months ago when thye restructured their studio, I think.
Yakuza 7... release date? We kinda knew it was coming to Steam already. Nope, no release date.
All right, Valhalla. meh, just talking.

On the one hand I appreciated seeing some visually impressive games on the other hand what low effort event. If you say gameplay, give us gameplay. Not in game cinematics and jump cut photo mode angles.
Meh. Meh I say.

Some cool releases. No crazy Bbombs, but the only thing that looked underwhelming is that Chorus game. No opinions on Dirt 5, Madden, and Valhalla is a waste of time;
Bright Memory getting the spotlight is really nice, albeit less impressive cuz the game's already out on PC;
Bloodlines 2 and Scorn are great re-reveals, those are long-in-dev games that have fans that are anticipating them;
New reveals: Medium, Call of the Sea, Ascent and Scarlet Nexus all look interesting.
Duds: Chorus and the Avalanche game.
Overall, I'd say a B-

I have a "let them off the hook" mindset toward this because I can only imagine the scrambling they were doing after the coronavirus changed everything.
With that said, I was hoping to see some game play that showed us the power of the new console - ray tracing has been a buzzword, could they have given us something to show how that could be implemented? SDR, fast load times has been hyped, would like to have seen that spotlighted in a way that would make me go "fuck yeah, I want the new console".

According to Eurogamer, Call of the Sea and Medium are both Xbox console exclusives
Possibly Ascent, too. (edit: yep, GameInformer confirms that)
Chorus is multi-plat, so is the Bamco game (obviously)
Not sure about Scorn, but if the KS was only for PC, Microsoft could've snagged console exclusivity there as well. (Edit: yeah, their website lists Xbox, WinStore and Steam)
Those are pretty interesting looking games.

also, this is just Wiki for now, but looks like Bright Memory Infinte is also an Xbox console exclusive.
Microsoft actually showed a ton they just didn't emphasize "exclusive" bits

Bright Memory Infinite looks like a mix between bulletstorm and titanfall and I'm very intrigued.
Second Extinction could be a fun co-op game with friends.
The Ascent could be cool, it looks like a top down twin stick looter shooter, which is an intriguing mash-up.
Other stuff I'm not all about, but I will say Scorn look scrazy, but is there any gameplay? Is it a Doom Eternal game or a 4x strategy game? Or maybe a collectable card game?

Monster Hunter World Iceborne: It's like hunting monsters, but on crack, but the monsters are also on crack.

Scorn is a biopunk shooter, where you play a skinless man who wakes up in a construct of flesh and has to figure out what's going on.
It was kickstarted forever ago, and there was even an alpha demo out at some point i think.
Your guns are living things and you feed them ammo. It's weird and creepy. I honestly thought the game was dead. It's made by a couple of guys in Serbia, I believe. Really cool that they got a GamePass deal and such spotlight for a game most wrote off as vapourware.
Ascent is more of a Diablo clone than a twin-stick shooter.

Ascent is being described as a 'twin stick shooter' on teh subforum. I did see the diablo loot style, thats the 'looter shooter' comment. Do you have any kind of continuous gameplay link or anything about the controls?

Just watched this older gameplay trailer for Scorn.
https://youtu.be/5bXpqc9QTcY
In terms of gameplay it seems very rudimentary but it sure is disgusting in an eXcistence kind of way.

watching IGN reactions- they are going to be covering it in detail throughout may. It's described as "Judge Dredd meets Diablo"
Loads of gameplay coming tomorrow, so we'll have a better idea then, *shrug*
