Both games have been pushed back roughly a month.
Interesting that Sony is willing to release AAA games in the summer time. Traditionally big publishers try to avoid June through August if they can.

Might see more games this summer, since people are worried about a recession coming in the autumn.
Plus some games want to avoid the next gen rush.

The Last of Us 2 leak is really shitty. I'm glad that some reputable sites have broadcast the warning. I would be furious if I had happened upon that not knowing what its contents were and having the game potentially ruined.

Deadly Premonition 2 releases July 10th on the switch.
Since the game is published by Rising Star Games, and not Nintendo themselves, I'm still hoping it's a timed exclusive.

Deadly premonition was an interesting but bad video game. I have little faith in the sequel. I hope Giant Bomb does an endurance run of the game.

Destroy All Humans remake out July 28th
Pre-orders now up everywhere (including GOG)
30 CAD is very reasonable. And apparently I'm getting a small tax refund this year, so I might indulge myself. Plus good on THQN for
1) releasing on GOG
2) keeping the price same in USD and CAD, unlike almost every other publisher out there.
THQN's other nostalgia remaster, that SpongeBob game is out June 23rd

Microsoft's next Inside Xbox is a week from now. THey will be showing games running on Series X hardware, including AssCreed Valhalla.
Fingers crossed for more Elden Ring.

I'd like to see some first party titles. Namely Halo Infinite. This could be their last chance at turning the Halo franchise around. And given the management issues 343 have had I don't have a lot of faith.

Supposedly this event is 3rd party-only. Microsoft's gonna have a big 1st party blowout at a later point.
Maybe this means we'll finally get some Batman. And the next Bioshock.

Batman and/or Rocksteady's game or Bioshock would be megaton reveals. One can only hope.

EA is doing a livestream thing on June 11th
Cyberpunk's been rated M by the ESRB.
Geoff Keighley is going to be running a "Summer of Games Festival" coverage-thing for the next four months, collating all the announcements and news stories for upcoming games. The schedule for "Phase 1" foes up on the site tomorrow. www.summergamefest.com to sign up for e-mail notifications about schedules and livestreams of upcoming events.

I'm racking my brain trying to think of what franchises Electronic Arts could have ready for the Console launch.
They've got FIFA and Madden of course.
Dice didn't release anything last year so they must be preparing something. Maybe not Battlefield or Star Wars but something new?
Who else do they have. They seem as lean as Activision now a days.
Respawn released two games last year so I can't see anything coming from them.
Maybe a new Need for Speed.
Is Bioware capable of releasing anything or are they too busy ruining Dragon Age or fixing Anthem??

I guess since EA are doing their own thing in June, we probably won't see anything from them at Xbox's event on Sunday? Maybe some sports footage?

Good news! They released an "Old Man Maul (Rebels)" skin for the final Battlefront II update ever.
Bad News! They only made it available after 5000 eliminations, which is an utterly insane number to get to. I've played with Maul hundreds of times and I bet even my number of eliminations up to this point would not equal 5k. Insane thing to do for a skin....

From EA's financial forecasts, via Resetera admin/industry analyst
EA has 14 titles planned for FY2021
-2 mobile titles
-4 Sport titles
-four "major titles" - internal (?)
-four published titles from 3rd party/indie devs (last summer they teased 3 new studio partners for EA originals)
So far, the only titles we know about are the Command& Conquer remaster, Burnout Paradise Remaster for Switch, and that VR-only Medal of Honor game.
I suspect that EA Motive will finally reveal what they've been working on.
There are also heavy, heavy hints of a Mass Effect trilogy remaster.

I could see them partnering with Crytek this year for Crysis related stuff.
