Nope, EA announced it on the Xbox stage, but it was never an exclusive.

You bought the X1X in an exclusive slump. You got what you paid for - the most powerful third party machine but no more than that.
Next generation is going to be much more interesting if Phil Spencer manages to turn the company around.

Unless he invests in a PC, ofc. Realistically, mostly it's only Sony 1st party and Nintendo exclusives are still platform-specific. Even most Japanese publishers are doing dual releases for Steam and PlayStation

Sure, but again, to Microsoft, PC is their platform. It's all about competing with Sony and Nintendo.
It would be cool to see Microsoft fix that Human Rights Violation they call the Windows Store though.

Yeah, I sincerely hope they do that by the time I finally migrate to Win 10
So, current roster for the Game Awards (supposedly)
1) Obsidian revealing what they're making for 2K
2) Bioware possibly teasing new Dragon Age
3) Ubisoft showing off Far Cry : New Dawn (PC Gamer reported that the name leaked)
4) Apparently, there's an Alien(s) game in development
5) Possibly something from Warner Brothers that's not Rocksteady, and supposedly not WB Montreal (new Mortal Combat? Harry Potter? New game from Monolith?)
6) some big thing from Nintendo (maybe Metroid?)
7) something Fortnite-related
8) possibly Squeeenix showing off Avengers
9) quite likely something from Kojima
10)?

I believe Kojima has stated he won't be at the show but take that with a boulder of salt.
I could see us getting more info on Rage 2 and that Wolfenstein expansion.
Maybe we finally get that Borderlands 3 unveal?
Mortal Kombat 11?
A new Division 2 trailer? Watch_Dogs 3?
I'd love to finally hear about Splinter Cell..

T- H - E | G - A - M - E | A - W - A - R - D - S
Journey to the Savage Planet
Some of these eSports categories make me cringe.
The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe
- Coming to consoles with additional content.
Among Trees
- Small indy. Developed by three guys. Looks sorta cool from what little they revealed.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order
- Nintendo Switch exclusive. Slick trailer.
Rocket League DLC
- McLaren 570S Car Pack
Far Cry: New Dawn
- Wow. Spoiled the end of Far Cry 5. I guess they figure any one picking Far Cry 5 up for the first time doesn't matter anymore? Huh, New Dawn introduces two twin teenage or young adult girls as the baddies. I didn't understand the very end though, probably because I didn't play Far Cry 5? Out in February
Hades
- Super Giant Games (Bastion / Transistor) next one. Very much the same as far as the game play shown (going to the well one too many times?). I'm in if the game has great narrative and awesome voice acting, like their games usually do.
Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey
- Single player, open world, survial game. 10 million years ago in Africa. Playing through the evolution of ape ancestors? I was expecting to see the scene for 2001 A Space Odyssey https://www.youtube....h?v=gggQtG8hgKY
Forza Horizon 4
- Fortune Island DLC
Scavengers
- "Survival shooter co-opitition". What a dumb new word.
Anthem
- Coming in February. Another polished trailer. Didn't really see any new game play. Then some artsy fartsy orchestra playing futuristic music. Seems as if Anthem is some to be explained power that the big evil baddie has learned to tap into and wield.
CTR Crash Team Racing
- Crash Bandicoot racing game.
Dauntless
- Coming April (I think I heard him say). Looks like co-op monster fighting game. Fight against big behemoths (Like Monster Hunter World?). Dunno, really.
The Last Campfire
- From Hello Games. I like playing these type of games (to break the monotony that can set in from triple A tedium some times).
PUBG
- DLC. New map, gear, etc. Can get a snowmobile.
Atlas
- Open world survival mmo. He said 40,000 concurrent players. Trailer looked pretty badass, not gonna lie, but survival mmo is not my thing. Xbox exclusive?
The Dread Wolf Rises
- Cool name, but have no clue what to expect based on the trailer they aired. Did some googling. I guess it is Dragon Age related. Never played it.
Stranger Things 3: The Game
- ?
Mortal Kombat 11
- April 23
Psychonauts 2
- Tim Schafer you mad genius you.
Devil May Cry 5
- purdy
Rage 2
- Definitely going a more comedic route compared to the first Rage a la Borderlands style. Even copying similar Bazillions of Guns with "Big Fucking Guns" tagline in that trailer. Coming May 4th.

So we start with some? rhythm game on Switch
Journey to the Savage planet- an adventure game of some sorts. Just a teaser but guessing it's a 3D game that's not a survival game according to the dev
EXPANSION FOR STANLEY PARABLE!!! (oh, and it's coming on consoles now)
Among trees looks like an artsy survival game? probably a roguelite of some sort.
Ultimate Alliance 3 announced for Switch. Huh, that's new
Rocket League DLC... meh
Ok, new Far Cry: post-apoc confirmed. looks colourful. Similar vibe to Rage 2. Releasing Feb 15th
New Supergiant Game. Based on Greek Mythology With a voiced protagonist. Looks like a Supergiant Games Game. Working with the Epic Game Store? Hmm, that's a good catch for them.
A new open world exploartion game- prehistoric Africa. Published by 2K Private Division I'm not crazy on the whole survival genre, but could be.... educational? maybe
-more Forza- not sure if commercial or trailer.
-Scavengers- sounds like a wintery co-op based survival game based on the trailer. Pass.
bunch of multi stuff- Warframe, Dead by Deadlight.... that stuff seems to be popular.
Ooh, Bioware! some Anthem story? hmm, not a whole lot to glimpse from that trailer.
oh, right, Crash Team Racing remaster. forgot about this.
Ooh, here comes Obsidian! New project: The Outer Worlds. Looks pretty cool.
- Dauntless. And also signing with Epic, hmm.
And a short artsy game from Hello Games
oh nice, a Ukrainian guy nominated for some E-sport thing.
The new game from the Ark people looks like a more competent Sea of Thieves. with dragons and magic. too bad it's an MMO.
wow, Epic Store launching with a bang. Ashen available now? wasn't that a big Microsoft stage-grabber? I wonder what kind of DRM that's gonna have, since Epic is supposed to have no native DRM....
oooh, Bioware? errrm... wat? apparently that's Dragon Age, but not even a name? (oh, apparently "The Dread Wolf" is a reference to smth from DA:I. Well supposedly I still have 3 years to get to that game.
The Pathless- looks like one of those folklore-inspired games I put on my wishlists, but rarely get to.
Human Head, the people who made the flop TheQuiet Man, are making a 2D roguelike. Sigh, where's my Prey 2-like?
A game based on a TV show I've never heard of. cool?
Oh, hey, Nether Realms. New Mortal Kombat? sure looks like it. Coming in April.
Psychonauts 2.... I really need to finish that 1st game. No release date yet.
Xbox delivering demo of DMC5 tomorrow. Good one, Microsoft.
Rage 2 gameplay and release date (May 14th?) Good call, Apt. Looks fun. Need to play the original sometime soon. Maybe I should do a post-apoc binge of 2 Metros and Rage?
hmm, ok, no Avengers, and no Alien. But not bad.
The big takeaway is that Epic is really trying to one-up Steam right now, grabbing some really interesting releases for its new store. It'll be interesting how many publishers jump ship in 2019.

It's 6.30. time to watch some Game Awards. I'm completely ignoring all media until I finish.
Spoiler box just in case.
Long show looong. Pretty good. No real megaton announcements in my mind but still a great show.

Apt, did you really write, "what is it with these teasers which don't tell you anything".
I'm excited for new Dragon Age, and looks like it might be a direct sequel to the end of Inquisition, but I'm sure it'll be years before we see it.
I like the look of Outer Worlds, and a number of the smaller indie games, but otherwise there was no real standout 'whoah, what is that about?!' moment.

Outer Worlds is being published by Private Label, the "indie branch" of 2K (similar to EA Originals, and that division of Ubisoft that did the Grow home/up and Child of Light) . They are also the ones to publish Ancestors, Project Wight, and I think at least one other game that was at this show.
Obsidian made that deal a while before being acquired by Microsoft, so it has to honour its obligation, which is why the game's gonna be multiplat.
The really interesting thing to me is the Epic store, coming in strong with a bunch of (presumably) timed exclusives, as well as giving away games every 2 weeks. As much as PC gamers like to complain about launchers that aren't Steam, everyone likes free games.

I can't get teased if I don't even know what's happening. Games with out context infuriate me.
Anyway I watched a promotion thing about Far Cry.

If you'd told me a year ago I'd be completely indifferent about a far cry game I'd scoffed at you. Far Cry 5 really left a bad taste in my mouth.

So I have completely forgotten who Solas is and what the Dread Wolf thing is all about but I liked Inquisition enough that I'd most likely be interested in playing DA4.
