Hmm. Microsoft announced they want to bring GamePass to PC.

Right now, GamePass works only for this gen's exclusive Play Anywhere titles (so like 14 games, and only a few of those are Win 10 exclusive).

But if they make the Win10 "Xbox" app capable of 360 and OG emulation (the way they did with the Xbone), expand the library to include console exclusives from that Dark Age of "all PC gamers are filthy pirates!", and give me easy options to remap controls to M&K so that I don't need to buy a controller, it might be worth looking into a sub for this.

I'm actually curious about XO now. Microsoft might use it as a chance to present their roadmap in terms of what their new studios are doing. This could be interesting.

I really don't care about any streaming crap, but it'll be neat if some good games come out of Microsoft trying to jump-start next gen

Call of Cthulhu reviews are lukewarm at best. It appears the game is repeating the mistakes of Dark Corners of the Earth- strong, atmospheric, investigation-focused beginning that devolves into very gamey forced stealth sections and a disintegrating plot.

Waiting on an ACG review for a final verdict, but safe to say I probably won't take advantage of the 20% off deal @ Fanatical and I'll pick it up at some later point when it's about 25-30 CAD.

If Sunset Overdrive is coming to PC what if they ended the reveal with a Sunset 2 teaser?

They've actually added a lot of new mechanics, areas, quests, enemies, lore over the last six months (all free), and even achieved the seemingly impossible of turning the player base towards coop rather than immediately killing any ship you come across through an alliance system and campaigns that require ships to work together. I find it really fun - but it is largely a make-your-own-fun kind of game.

If they bring backwards compat on PC and give me access to former console exclusives, I'll probably upgrade to Win 10, and I'll consider a GamePass sub.

They could do a Fable reveal, could also tease what Ninja Thory's been up to.

If the rumour about acquiring Obsidian is true, they'll certainly make a ton of fanfare about that.

maybe give release date for Ori; show more Battletoads.

Ashen is still supposed to come out in 2018 according to the devs, so they might do a release date.

ionno if Insomniac can have anyone working on Sunset 2: they're probably signed on for more spider-man, and they also have a team working on that robo-gardener VR game they showed at the PC Gaming show @ E3.

It's the best shooter of the last decade purely because it's actually fun. It's not po-faced serious like Call of Field or Battleduty. And it actually follows through on being somewhat wacky. Doom 16 tried to be old-school, wacky fun, and failed in literally every aspect. Bulletstorm is generally my yardstick for FPS, and for good reason.

Any of you guys have Return of the Obra Dinn on your radar (or have played it already)? It's from the same guy who created Papers, Please. I really enjoyed playing Papers, Please (even with the unsettling feeling it imparted upon me). I was unaware of 'Return of the Obra Dinn' until I happened upon it looking over some reviews. It's received high marks. It might be something I play next (after RDR2), needing something different to direct my gaming time towards. Anyway, you guys play (or gonna play) it?
