I forgot that was the new game this month. Ive been downloading them all and got AC 2 aswell as that arcade base defence arcade game they gave away. If you have the space go for it, treat it like a demo and if you dont like it delete it no harm done.

Despite having a backlog of games I bought Black Ops 1 for the multiplayer which I loved. Only 8 quid and still a blast

Considering that it was his own jury-rigged virtual reality prototype shown at E3 that seemed to kick off the hype surrounding the OR I think this fantastic news. Lets face it, id hasn't exactly been making waves the past years and he seemed to be really in to this concept. The fact that he is, in a way, jumping ship to work on this shows how much momentum the headset has.

GTAV looks sweet as fuck. I can't wait for this game. The single player trailer alleviated my concerns about multiple characters giving the game less substance, and the multiplayer trailer that was just released looks incredible. I never dabbled in GTAIV or RDR online, but this trailer really enticed me.

I love this trailer but I was so disappointed by the story and gameplay in D3 that they'll have to come up with some pretty fantastic updates for me to buy this expansion on launch.

I think you pretty much summed up how most of the playerbase feels, Apt, myself included.
It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly; who errs and comes short again and again; because there is not effort without error and shortcomings; but who does actually strive to do the deed; who knows the great enthusiasm, the great devotion, who spends himself in a worthy cause, who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement and who at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly. So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.

Wait, I broke Diablo's Soulstone in #2!
I am guessing this is all explained in 3, but yeah, retreading the same ground and reusing the Soulstone thing does not make me think the story was good and original. Especially given the Wordlstone is also shattered... And they made you fight the three Prime Evils again didn't they? Bleh, what was the point of destroying the Soulstones before then? It could be well excused enough to satisfy me, but from what I have heard, it isn't.
At this point it's unlikely I'll play D3. Eh, I guess I don't want to know, maybe I'll give the console version a run through with a friend.
Speaking of the console version, I am really hoping they remove the auction house and correctly balance loot drops and shit for the expansion, like they have admitted they'd like to do for PC (and are doing for console). Then maybe they can let us host the game ourselves! *really doubts it*

Cutscene was pretty good. But those first two Horodrim to die just stood there and let him hit them. It wasn't exactly a swift attack, I could have blocked it, but they did nothing... I was looking forward to a cool fight scene :D

As far as I understand the Prime (and lesser) evils cannot be destroyed. If you kill them their power/essence/soul or lack there of just returns to Hell and comes back later. I am assuming that if you managed to outright destroy them you would destroy the balance of the universe.

So they need to be contained instead and hidden away. Too bad the Angels and the Horadim are so shit at guarding their stuff.

It's the fucking Angel of Death. Imagine facing what is, I assume, an aspect of their God. A manifestation of God standing before you and he wants to kill you. He doesn't just wont to kill you. He is DEATH. Yeah, I might be a bit slow to react as well if I was them.

And as we saw, apparently you can't really fight him.

Cue quest line where you have to retrieve/forge the weapon/crystal that can kill/contain death.

I'm loving the art style, but as it stands I doubt I'll be buying it.

There are basically files hanging around in Act IV of D3 talking about how the Archangel of Wisdom basically vanished, which said to me that the next expansion was either the hunt for Captain McTraitorpants or more likely this guy coming back and crazy as a loon to do wacky shit. They set it up enough if you A: clicked on everything in the last act and B: spoke to all NPCs in the last act.

You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Haha, I vent a bit about how dickish the RNG can be in FTL when talking to a mate of mine - he plays a lot more of it than I do - and then I find out why he's played so much. He ended up screwed over repeatedly to the point where his first victory was about 50 runs in with the Stealth Cruiser. Mine was my third run with the Kestrel starting ship, and the first two died in Sector 2. I am apparently the jammiest bastard alive.

Have any of you been following the Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft Beta? Or even been so lucky to get into it?

I've never played any kind of card games but for some reason Hearthstone's really gotten a hold of me. I've been following various youtube commentators like Total Biscuit, Wowcrendor, Jessie Cox, etc. and for some reason I am able to watch hours and hours of these matches with out getting bored. I really love the relative simplicity of the system and the subtle depth that comes from knowing the meta game. I've heard that it will eventually be opened up for open beta and really can't wait.

If you want to get into it I can especially recommend Total Biscuits commentary. He's not fantastic at the game but he's very good at explaining his motives and analysing the strategy, all though his understanding isn't always correct.



They're approaching a wipe so for fun TB disenchanted most of his cards and created a deck with a ton of epic cards:

Heavy Rain, their last game, was one of my favorite games of all time. You can bet your ass I am interested in Beyond. Can't afford to buy it on release though.
