Started playing DayZ today. I think I got the authentic DayZ experience in a neat package; started out with two assholes chasing me around shooting at me, bled to death after a zombie bite, found an axe in a barn and threw three flares out the window trying to equip/use it, and when I finally managed to and killed my first zombie I was shot by someone who saw my flares. This was followed by a far more successful hour of scavenging and zombie killing, then... this happened.

22:38 - RIMJOBBERY MCFAGBALLS: Welp
22:38 - RIMJOBBERY MCFAGBALLS: first DayZ hacker encounter
22:38 - RIMJOBBERY MCFAGBALLS: wandering around minding my own business
22:38 - RIMJOBBERY MCFAGBALLS: HONK HONK HONK
22:38 - RIMJOBBERY MCFAGBALLS: the fucking hacker party bus appears
22:38 - RIMJOBBERY MCFAGBALLS: forces me aboard
22:39 - RIMJOBBERY MCFAGBALLS: and starts teleporting around the map picking people up
22:39 - Corporal Babitz: how did he force you aboard
22:39 - RIMJOBBERY MCFAGBALLS: kept teleporting me back to the door of the bus
22:39 - RIMJOBBERY MCFAGBALLS: it was a truck at first
22:39 - RIMJOBBERY MCFAGBALLS: he spawned a bus after picking up 6-7 people
22:39 - RIMJOBBERY MCFAGBALLS: so I stole the truck and drove off
22:39 - RIMJOBBERY MCFAGBALLS: he teleported me out of the truck
22:39 - RIMJOBBERY MCFAGBALLS: and back to the bus
22:40 - RIMJOBBERY MCFAGBALLS: eventually I managed to eject as he teleported away
22:40 - RIMJOBBERY MCFAGBALLS: he was at it for about half an hour
22:40 - RIMJOBBERY MCFAGBALLS: honking
22:40 - RIMJOBBERY MCFAGBALLS: forever
22:40 - RIMJOBBERY MCFAGBALLS: I even escaped and filled up/stole a legit truck
22:40 - RIMJOBBERY MCFAGBALLS: I still got dragged back

To complete the experience, I eventually escaped alongside one female captive, who proceeded to try to shoot me with her shitty rifle thing. Probably because I was running at her with an axe. I won that one, at least. ClevelandMarkBlakemore is now (if he actually saved) wandering about with 3000 blood, eight shots of a bad rifle, and a hatchet he can't work out how to equip at the same time. Neanderthal vengeance will be his.

Finished Arkham Asylum. Wonderful fun, quite honestly!

Ubisoft is doing a campaign where its PC games on the Ubi store is being sold for 1 dollar/1 euro/1 pound. New games every day I think. YOU HAVE TO PICK UP DRIVER SAN FRANCISCO. The game is worth 50 euro easily. 1 euro is just stupidly well worth the money. I don't even like driving games very much and still spent an insane amount of time just doing mini-missions and challenges.

I believe there are some limits, such as you must download the game you bought within a month of purchase (if you don't you'll have to pay extra) and there are issues with multiple downloads of the same game.

In other news, with the release of Legacy of Kain: Defiance, GoG now hosts the entire "raziel trilogy". Still no Blood Omens, though....

Speaking of torchlight, I just finished it on Xbox arcade last night. It's a great diablo clone, that does it better than diablo 3. I really enjoyed it so it is a shame that torchlight 2 is too big for the arcade format. What are the controls on PC? Numbers do abilities like diablo?

I'll take it. My account is "orcagreen". Haven't played on my STEAM account since my Total War: Rome binge a long time back. This'll be interesting.

Well, the demo is... disappointing. It really is just a bad, stripped-down "cinematic" version of the original X-Com that doesn't even really work properly (cover does weird things, you can't face different directions). It's a really bad demo, though, even if the end game is good, so I won't write it off just yet and I'll try the final release. Mostly it just made me want to reinstall Silent Storm.

I don't really mind, though, Xenonauts soon :)

I have it preordered, and Kickstarted Xenonauts, :)

had my reservations about XCOM, but then the devs uttered the magical word "chrysalids"

also doing a Veteran playthrough of the original right now. it's just as awesome as I remember it being. And my night class is cancelled today, so i'll get to try out the demo!

So I played the demo. Boring tutorial mission then easy first mission in the game. About what I expected. Wish it was more with the 5GB DL, but w/e.
Monster Hunter World Iceborne: It's like hunting monsters, but on crack, but the monsters are also on crack.
