I think if production wasn't already well along and they'd made various deals, Microsoft and probably also Sony would push the consoles to next year.

Microsoft can pick any price they supposedly but they want to match or come in under Sony.

There was speculation that Sony might be dropping some news today because it's an anniversary for the launch of PS1. I wonder if they just click upload on what ever launch day and price announcement they had ready.

Speculation about price has been that there's no way these consoles only cost 500 USD to make. Can Sony match the 500 or will the PS5 be 600 USD?

There's all kinds of retailer leaks and rumours regarding price. Supposedly pre-orders will "officially" go live tonight/tomorrow. and PS5 is 500 EUR, 400 for disc-less.

To answer your earlier question, Apt, apparently retailers all over Europe (including Denmark) have been doing in-person "pre-order registrations" for months- where you basically put 50 euros down and get put on a priority list once they go live.

We will see. Curious if there's gonna be any new stuff, like FF16, new Silent Hill, etc.

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales looks fantastic. Definitely looking next generation quality. The lighting effects on display are pretty amazing. I've not seen that yet personally. Is that the "ray-tracing" that has been talked about?

oh hey, Demon's Souls remake is heading to PC. According to their marketing. Unless it's a typo. But all the media is already running with the story.
yah, so Sony walked that back as an "error", and Demon's Souls Remake is their one next-gen exclusive 1st party launch game. Wouldn't surprise me if they eventually pull a Death Stranding on that one, since FromSoft's games have a pretty rabid following on PC and ppl love to double-dip on those, *shrug*

EDIT: Miles Morales coming to PS4 as well. It's a PS5 launch title.

EDITAGAIN: Horizon: Forbidden West will apparently get a PS4 release as well. Means higher chances of a PC port down the line.

-oh, and Sony's games will officially be 70 bucks. ugh.

Crusader Kings 3 is pretty great. I have recreated history with Harald Hårfagre and created the Kingdom of Norway. However, unlike his historical counterpart, Harald has an excellent court physician, and is still running strong at the impressive age of 57. So his conquering days continues, and now the duchy of The Isles and the duchy of Island have come within the borders of my mighty kingdom. Lapland will soon follow, and then my focus will switch to the decadent Swedes, or the puny Danes. The Empire of Scandinavia is within my reach!

But being a good king is not all about conquering, or about burning every major city in Europe to finance endless wars of conquest. Indeed, Harald is as mighty in bed as he is in war, and have fathered 15 children. His Intelligent son Sigurd, the oldest son that still lives (wars have a high casualty rate in sons), was trained by his father the great Hårfagre himself, and is a very impressive warrior and general. He will continue the great work. Of his siblings and cousins he i sthe mightiest, but there are many with potential amongst his dynasty, and they have all been given chiefdoms and duchys. Scandinavia is quickly becoming the exclusive domain of the Yngling clan. Alas, making war on fellow norse chieftains is not the pious thing to do, and thus Harald does not have the necessary relationship with the faith to reform it into a modern church capable of standing on its own against the encroaching word of Christ. Maybe Sigurd will be the king to do so, but I fear he too will be caught in the endless wars of his father. Perhaps his son again, the genius Harald, trained by the brilliant court physician, Yldirhur, will have the necessary skill to make it happen. Only time will tell.

So the PS5 is a lot cheaper than I thought it would be but I'm worried about the digital version cos then I wouldn't have the Blu-ray capability.

Game prices haven't changed from PS1 to PS4 in Denmark. In fact they're often 20% cheaper right now.
