I guess I will start the "What are we doing over the weekend" discussion.

I would vote for a lock down.

Well I am one of the mods and I don't do weekends... :)

By the way I am going to bed. So you guys will be modless for 5 or 6 hours till Tapper wakes up.

Later

So, the Europeans are still in the lead, huh?

Considering that the Americans have a victory condition to identify other factions, and they've already gotten some hypothetical points from doing it successfully, I'm inclined to believe that Korvalain was not merely guessing when he pronounced Kaschan as being European. And since the Europeans are currently in the lead, whilst I don't have anyone particularly pinging my scum radar at this time (at least not more than my experience tells me is perfectly normal for the average non-scum), I favour the option of voting for the European and hopefully halting that nationality's progress.

Vote Kaschan

Wow! I was just about to start composing my post about my thoughts on whats happened over night and then Shadow does that.

I cannot decide if you are amazingly stupid, or are scum. Just in case its the latter.

You do realise, the only way we win this game is by lynching the Syndicate right? And you are wanting us to lynch one of two PI?

You were involved in the whole debacle about Syndicate CFing as Spies and not Syndicate. Further, it's been stated on thread that finds and info actions on Syndicate could come back as their nationality. Considering the Syndicate have infiltrated the nationalities, neither Omtose or Kaschan are PI at all.

re-reading the scenes....

we suppose that Korv might have gotten info on 2 players. who could he be in the scenes?

also, there are a total of 3 mentions of "the chess player" so far.... if we suspect he's Syndicate, he's also been very busy. perhaps that's the best place to start looking?

Really? If we accept Korvalain's accusations of Kaschan being European and Omtose being Chinese as being true (which is probable in my mind), what use does it do to lynch another inno and halt the Europeans when we have multiple scum still at large? Lynching is our best weapon against the scum, despite the spread of roles, as it is likely there are less LPs around than BPs. We'd be disadvantaging all the innos more than advantaging the non-Euros I think.

Tempted to vote you for that one.

EDIT - stupid thing double quoted...

I didn't say they were, Shadow said he believed Korvalain about the factions then voted accordingly.

Interesting read up.

In addition to the extra vote explanations others have made, I would also suggest the following possibilities

1) Someone in that group of mystery votes has to be on a lynch train, so if it reaches a certain number of people before hammer, they will automatically join.
2) Or there could be a tandem thing happening. If a lover or some other pairing joins a train, that automatically adds the pair's vote as well.

I agree with the assertion that the top spammers seem likely to have high abilities they want to access by leveling. The vote spread is just too ridiculous. The question is, does it stand to reason that scum would be one of the likely groups to really want to access their high level stuff, above other factions? If the answer is "yes", we may want to consider lynching a spammer.

And Galain, that post looks scummy as hell. It looks like someone quick to jump on a possible mistake and start a lynch train without thinking carefully about it from a non-scum point of view.

I imagine he was this guy:

Quote

He walked through the city, trying to memorize his way through all the glass and concrete, and wondering how to go about his tasks. He rubbed his neck. The first thing to do, was find a cheap hotel, get some rest, it would be a long night. Then, he had to find the unassuming woman, who would be hiding amongst the criminal elements of the city. A daunting task.

The other would be a lot easier to find, probably a hotel lobby where he'd be sipping whisky, unless something worthy of his time happened. There weren't many of those up to his standards, so the search would take an hour or so.

Which means (if true) that Kaschan or Omtose is the criminal elements woman that IIRC activated the Barghast alt. Hmmm...

@GL, Eloth, others - see what we can do with scenes now?

How is that not saying that they are PI? I never brought up PI-ness before you did.
