Okay, that's it, i give up. I'm going to sacrifice a few chickens to the octopus in the aquarium at the local sushi place and then go for a good long swim until i find a Deep One that's looking for a good time.

That's no volcano. It's a space station.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

If we lure it to Geneva we might be able to use the LHC proton stream to kill it.

M-Mum? What are you doing in Switzerland?
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

You would so easily toss aside Swiss neutrality?

@H.D.

Part of the CERN complex is in France, Europe's pin cushion. We could use the proton stream using controls on the French side sparing the Swiss.

@ Illy

It has nothing to do whatsoever with uncoiling extra dimensions for godly. Nope, nothing of the sort.

The media is still bonkers around here. "The Cloud" is still being monitored. It has covered Romania entirely which was not what out weather guys said would happen, god dammit it sucker punched us and this is bad - as a side note, I said it'll cover the whole country but who'll listen to a student. Crisis centers have been set up - or so they claim - because.... because it's a crisis dammit! Also, people should be really careful when going outside, the ash is dangerous ............. it's also really high and unless it rains, no one cares really but the media fails to mention that.

Btw, Cthulhu isn't really waking up to eat us. Don't you see? All the smoke, all the ash and fire and whatnot. He's just making mititei .

I'm stuck in Liverpool. If I'm lucky, I'll get myself another Europa League match before I go (yes, it does make me cry to say that).

Edit: Err... Maybe Spanish team will have to travel to meet English team, yes? And maybe vice versa, yes? Idiot, yes? Yeeeessssss....

Fun fact: two of icelands largest and most active volcanos are Hekla and Katla, the 'angry sisters'. And no, their names do not translate to Envy and Spite.

Sounds like an airborne version of "the Blob". The media keeps calling it the cloud and in all fairness what do you call a bloody ash cloud? But the way they say it manages to make the word cloud sounds like Cloud (of Doom and Evilness).

The Smoke Cloud has escaped the Island.

Europe is target #1 thanks to Desmond and Charlie.

I blame Brood.

Although I'm growing increasingly suspicious of how that cloud is avoiding the Isle of Man so neatly. Conspiracy? I wouldn;t put it past those filthy inbred islanders.

Megashark and the Giant Octopus are dueling to the death in the Channel. Braving those waters is certain death.

All the boats are full. I was at the Eurostar terminal in London on Friday, I've never seen so many people! Apparently Dan Snow (tv historian/celebrity) organised a Dunkirk style flotilla but the French said "Non".
