FUN LOVIN' CRIMINALS!!!

Damn, that was great again.
Played a lot of old songs from 100% Columbian that they'd never done live before.
Also: This never fails to disappoint.

I agree :-) That was a lot of fun!

@ Tiste - what are pendulum like live? Their lead singer came over and did a set with a DJ at the festival I went to a couple of weeks ago. Thought he looked a little silly jumping around in front of a DJ booth, although the DJ was pretty good and he did know how to get the crowd to keep dancing.

Pendulum have been really good the two times ive seen them at download. You cant really move though if your in the middle of the pit as its so packed in together so all you end up doing is moving with the crowd as it surges. Godd fun though.

just got back from seeing Coheed and Cambria in a small 500 person-ish venue. It was such a great show.
All of my favorite songs and nearly 2 hours of moshing and singing.

Only downside is I nearly got hit by a car, but I'm good.

Sorry, got you and Giles mixed up.

Saw The Narrow again on Friday night, along with some other local bands. Really small gig, maybe 200 people, but the atmosphere was incredible. At one point the singer just kept quiet for half a song, the crowd was singing louder than he was :p Still stiff from all the jumping around.

For all you Welshies, BUDGIE have a concert in the Muni centre, Pontypridd on Friday 16th April. I stand to make absolutely no money out of this, as I told them I would help roadie for free, but if you fancy coming (I think MS you live in Ponty, right?) it should be a great concert, also might be up for a pint after...

Rush was brilliant and they threw roasted chickens in the crowd. So funny.

I HAVE NO RECOLLECTION OF EVER HEARING THEIR MUSIC BUT RUSH ARE NOW MY FAVOURITE BAND TO SEE LIVE

I see your roasted chickens and raise you The Barenaked Ladies actually bbq'ing hot dogs on stage, throughout the show, and periodically tossing them to the audience with little packets of condiments.

- Abyss, ...also notes that Rush sucks. Imnshowic.

You are dead to me Abyss.......Bubba

I think you should be exiled for treason......to New Jersey......... with nothing but a bunch of Bon Jovi cassettes to listen too.....

Just got back from helping out at the Budgie concert, and flip me, they put a lot of newer poser bands to shame... The energy and the brilliance of their stage show was incredible, plus Craig Goldy is an utter legend in the world of epic guitar riffage and soloing. Also a really good bloke, had a nice chat with him before the show about Ronnie James Dio, and how is cancer is getting better and they are writing together some new stuff.

A great evening overall!

I'll be going to see Amon Amarth for the second time with Eluveitie.
There's a few other good concerts here this summer.

Including the Canadian Carnage Tour.
It'll be awesome.

I'm going to see The Butterfly Effect in July, and Cog in June. Should be amazing.

Alright, I just got back home after seeing Mastodon live last night and simply put they are the most talented, amazing, Kick Ass, melt your face off loud, Metal band there is, period . They absolutely kicked ass, best concert I've ever been to. They came out and played Crack the Skye in its entirety and then continued to tear the roof off the place by playing for another hour. If you like metal then you need to see this band, if you don't like metal you still need to see this band, they are that damn good. And to top of a kick ass concert I got to meet Troy, Bill and Brann before the show and got them to autograph a copy of Crack the Skye on vinyl... Attached File  cropped.jpg (1.19MB)

Agreed, it has already been mentioned in this, and other threads, that Mastodon are simply astonishing. Both on album and in concert. "The Last Baron" was unbelievably good!

Tonight New Young Pony Club. Here's to hoping the crowd is hip, female and curvy, as electro-fans should be.
