Where are all the new recruits? Has some pretender forum snatched them up? Has PEN scared them away?
HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.

It's possible that their recruitment drive makes new members too nervous to post.
THEY'RE RUINING THE FORUM!!!

PEN has a recruitment drive? I was only aware that PEN was always open to new members. Meh, most of the new people we pick up seem to be quite eager to enjoy the forum, so I don't think it's the bright green frightening the new ones.

Hello bagera! Welcome to the Forums! Does that mean you are currently reading The Bonehunters? If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Also, your name makes me think of the Jungle Book (bagera - bagheera)

Hi, Loki! Well in English "bagera" means "the excavator" , but yeah it sounds and looks like the name of the "big cat" (the leopard) from this book. "The Bonehunters" rest for now in my library, but soon hell yeah I will read it!

The Excavator - is that a comment on your occupation or just a random name you like?

Are you a platform gamer or PC gamer? There's a fairly big games thread on these Forums as well which you might like to look at/read.

I'm a platform gamer - Xbox 360. But I do have a few PC games and a Steam account. Hopefully, we'll see you in the Mass Effect threads! Again, welcome to the Forum!

Indeed. We don't have a recruitment drive, we're just always happy to invite new people in. The more, the merrier and all that. The only time we had a recruitment drive was when we were first starting.
Laseen did nothing wrong.

I've been posting already, but I never signed in here.
I've been a huge WoT fan for decades and I post on dragonmount.com ALOT, and.somewhere on there I was introduced to the Malazan series.
The replies there about Malazan were amazing. Id only seen such Passion about series like WoT but the Malazan fans made themselves clear.
And they said it was better than WoT which I highly doubted, but they were right.
Malazan stands as my favorite series as of yet.
I only started the books in the last year, and I just finished TtH. And finished RotCG from Ice.
I couldn't find Stonewielder so I bought DoD, although I wanted to read SW first so I could read DoD and CG back to back. Dunno, will prolly start DoD tonight. Posting from work now.
I'm Mike. I live in Rock Hill, SC. Which is right on the border of north and south Carolina, 10 mins south of charlotte. That's about it.

Stonewielder is readily available on amazon and most online book stores, if that option is open to you.

Did the greetings thread, but figured I'd chime in here as well...seeing as how (apparently) there is not recruitment drive and (reputedly) someone named PEN is scaring people away...ahem. Two birds, one stone and all that.
Ice now broken, I am new to the series and currently just about to finish up Bonehunters (which has been great and my favorite so far I think). While the sheer size of the books has been daunting due to time restraints that do not allow me to read as much as I would like (you know, kids and work and other nonsense), it has been a pleasure to read something with a depth of history (which I crave), richness of characters (Krupp being my favorite thus far -- I am hoping he returns in more than just a cameo role), and a style of writing and use of language that does not make my IQ drop (rather the opposite). I'll be honest and say I have not grasped it all, and have found myself rereading some passages just to make sure of myself, BUT I fully intend to read the entire series over again.
So no spoilers, please (though a nod or wag in regards to future Krupp would be welcome heheh). And if I could ask one question at this point in the story (and I have MANY): What happened to Duiker? I am hoping I did not miss something there...and if not, I am content to wait to find out.
Greets once again.

This ain't the place to ask questions about Duiker, the individual book forums are for that kind of thing (and don't include spoilers in thread titles if you can help it). Just be very careful if you enter the forum for a book you're still reading, because spoilers abound. Maybe even just ask it in the General Book Forum.
As for your Kruppe question, for a nod/wag type of answer:

Oh, I was not really asking about Duiker and expecting an answer...just saying I hope I didn't miss something up to this point heh. Really, I am content to let the story unfold, else why bother to read it?
Appreciate the head-movement reply. Now if only Kruppe, Tehol and Bugg would get together for a few pages...
