Does anyone have any solid, concrete reasons why I should get this on one console versus the other? I have a ps3 and a 360 and don't know which system to get it on.

Get it for the PS3 because the X-box is for annoying children.

Got it, ps3. It's good. Basically a mix of Gun and GTA. Myh greatest bitch is that, like GTA, the controls are a bit akward for movement and combat. Whatever. It's a sweet game.

This game is getting better and better. It's so much better than GTA4. If you have ever appreciated a western, get this game. It wallows in every western trope you could think of, and does it well.

Last night I was riding my horse through town. A shopkeeper ran up to me, frantically asking fo help as he had been robbed. The thief was running away and had a pretty good headstart. I whistled for my horse, who came running. I swung into the saddle ad chased the guy down. I lassoed him, then drug him behind my horse back to town. At the outskirts, I got of my horse, hogtied the guy, then threw him across my horse to carry him the rest of the way before dropping him in front of the shop keeper, who proceeded to kick him repeatedly in the head. Awesome. I also had to save someone from being hanged by shooting the rope. Sweetness.

I got it on the PS3.

I had to rescue some ranchers daughter.

I'm fighting into the house, and you can hear the girl screaming upstairs, and the guy goes 'shit is gonna be fun!'. I bust through the door and he grabs the girl and uses her as a shield and starts shooting at me. I have to get the shot right or I'm dead.

I did, of course, because I'm the best ever, but I enjoy this game oh so much.

A cougar killed my horse and I had to jog back to town, fighting wolves and whatnot all the way to get a new horse.

It was awesome.

Cattle herding is fun. As is horse breaking.

You see wild horses, if you lasso, mount, an break them, you can then purchase that 'type' of horse in the stores to be your mount.

it is awesome. Also, the smoke from the guns is amazing, I have found where people are at times from the puffs of smoke blowing in the breeze.

You know that a new horse will come if you whistle for it by pushing up on the dpad, right? If your old horse just got killed you have to wait a bit before a new one will answer the call.

Yea it told me that when I tried to whistle again right away. Was unsure how long the wait was, so started heading for town, and I got caught up in wolf attacks. And skinning. And then chasing armadillos. And then I watched the lightning storm while fighting wolves. What was FUCKING AWESOME.

That is all there is to it.

I want this game so much, but won't be able to get it for a month, until I go home where my PS3 is. :)

Hrm, sounds like great fun...but costs. :)

/hate having just enough money to feel comfortable for living expenses, but not enough for multiple luxuries. Argh.

Started playing this today and it is absolutely brilliant. It is just soooooo much fun and the randomness and Sergio Leone edge make it a cut above the rest. Even chasing down the deer and coyote and shooting from horseback to skin them and trade is fun. It is vast and you just know you will play it for months before you get bored - if you do. Marsden is a great character and you really do get the feeling of being free to do what you like in the game - which you are. I am gonna have a ball making myself the most infamous outlaw in the west. ha ha!

Double damn. I have Tuesday off, and I know exactly what I'm going to be doing.

I suppose pay-day is not far off now... maybe I'll dig something out to trade in.
