Amazon is your friend (most of the time)

Though, obviously, because its only just released, theres only one there, and it ain't brilliant...

accordint to that review it has done what I hate. It has not wrapped up anything and its focusing on the minor characters more than the main character rand. For gods sake the book is about the dragon can he have some chapters

It sounds like it's not much better than Crossroads of Twilight. The synopsis is so similar as well, and the only review suggests it does about as much (ie nothing) in the same space. Well, at least it means I'm not regretting skipping this book.

Oh, and this thread over at Ranland may help... http://p080.ezboard.com/fasoiaffrm7.showMe...icID=3061.topic

Though it is spoilerific.

You mean there are actually spoilers? Unlike for Crossroads of Twilights. Sounds like there must be some improvement then.

I thought about picking this up today but I refuse to pay $40 for a book. I'll wait until it's on cheap or paperback.

Well, read the thread Brood posted, and it does seem that some plotlines actually are resolved. Weird, huh.
But wasn't enough to convince me to buy the book yet. I'll wait what Hetan has to say about it..

Ditto. I did go into town to buy it, but I saw the price and went for Peter F. Hamilton's latest, which is not only cheaper, but also significantly longer (and better quality, no doubt).

There are some reviews at amazon.COM.

Judging by those it seems like its better than CoT but still not even as good as the first couple of books.

Still i suspect youll have more fun reading the 2000+ reviews on amazon.com ripping apart CoT in sometimes quite amusing ways than actually reading the new one.
