Note if you wish to mod
I'm pretty good about handling moderating myself, but if you want to help you MUST be vigilant about updating this post with actions, the current game status, and what not. I also require scenes to be written for everything, no generic "this is what happened" text, even if you're in a rush.

Thanks! <3 PB

Hood's Path - Quentin Tarantino - General King (1x Lynch or Bulletproof, 1x Cut): Action!: -----

Rashan - Pai Mei - The Dude (BP, Specialty Kill, Lynch Retaliation), HYAH: -----

Night Actions - Night 7
Sorrit--Kill(bestowed) : Shadow
(message for Bill:)

I targetted Shadow tonight, because I don't want him to be down to the last three (just in case his VC supercedes ours). Obviously if the game isn't over tomorrow, then Rashan must be the Assassin/Killer/whatever...I got given a kill by someone last night that I'll use today, then I have my regular kill the following night if it's needed (though I really don't see how it could be). High Fives, dude, I think we've got this! :p
(end message)

Rashan--Kill : HP > Sorrit > Kalse > Shadow
HP--Bestow Kill : Sorrit
Kalse--Kill : Rashan > HP

Night Actions - Night 6
Alkend--Kill (x2): Rashan AND Fener (Liosan backup) (Rashan fails, BP, Fener fails lynched and Bride is lynched and loses a kill)
Rashan--Kill : Shadow > Liosan > Fener (Shadow didn't vote, Liosan dies)
Kalse--Vig : Shadow > Rashan (Shadow fails, BP)
(message for Elle (goes to Sorrit):p
Vigged Shadow/Rashan (whichever we didn't lynch).

I'm thinking it stands something like this:

-Assassin (Fener/HP)

-Beatrix Kiddo (Alkend?)
-Hattori Hanzo (Shadow?)
-Esteban (Rashan?)

-Buck (Lio)
-Bill (me)
-Elle (Sorrit)
-Earl McGraw (HP/Fener)

Lio's reveal seems legiter than most and no counter so far. Rash's Pai Mei reveal is stupid - Pai Mei should already be dead and even then, why would he be a finder? Esteban or the bride herself could easily be a finder though. Shadow's reveal is dumb, it's just so unlikely there's *another* solo player other than the assassin and that it's Hattori and so on and so forth. Just dumb.

Still got my infinite-BPs so I'm not worried about myself at night, hence trying to get the heal on you if there is one.

Best of luck!
(end message)

HP--Bestow Kill : Sorrit
Sorrit--Kill : Alkend > HP (Alkend lynched, HP fails, has a single BP that is used)
(message for Bill (goes to Kalse):p
Yo,

I wish I'd managed to get a kill in during Night 5 - then I'd be getting one on Night 7, which would be pretty useful in the current situation. Anyway, my suspicions are pretty much as I've laid them out on thread. There really isn't much lying around on the thread to use on a reread.

My mind has kept changing about who I should NK tonight - initially I submitted for HP, but then changed my mind to Alkend - while I had him down as a likely symp, the fact is I feel that he is the most likely of any of the players remaining to be scum of some description.

Sorrit
(end message)
Night Actions - Night 5
Alkend--Kill (x2): Karatallid AND D'riss
Rashan--Kill : Shadow > Liosan > Fener

Night Actions - Night 4
Alkend--Kill (x2): Kalse (swaps to Mockra, Mockra dies), AND Eloth (succeeds, Eloth dies)
HP--Bestow Kill: Kalse (swaps to Mockra, kill is lost)
Karatallid--BP: Karatallid (succeeds)

Sorrit--message to Bill (swaps to Mockra, message is lost):
Hey,

Not sure we handled that quite so well - by saying you can send messages to me, that implies that I am an important player, whereas the other way round only shows that you are an important player, which the scum already know. Plus I wanted Karatallid to confirm the reveal so I could be a bit surer of his allegiance - if he'd tried to break cover and denied my claim, you could have joined forces with me to bring him down. Ah well, all water under the bridge now.

Going forwards, I think Alkend is a bit suspicious, can't quite put my finger on it, but he seems especially anxious for any and all information pertaining to reveals. I don't really have all that much of a read on most people though, which is a bit worrying.

I don't know how often you can vig - I can do it every other night. Which means it's important that for Night 5, we know who each other are targetting. Unless Alkend gets lynched, I will target him on that night. If he does, then I will target Galayn Lord.

I'm hoping you tell me who you're planning to kill over the next few nights in your next message. If you don't, then signal this in the following manner. Write down a list of the alts left in the game at the start of Day 5, and then use the numeral (for example, 6) of your intended target for Night 5 in one of your first three posts of the day.

We also need some kind of code word to denote a change of plans. If you think my choices are a bad idea, then mention an alternative target in a sentence starting with "As a matter of fact, ..." If I decide to change my mind, I will signal this to you in a similar manner (If you think that's too common a phrase, say so tomorrow night). If I want to suggest a change in who you are targetting, I will start a sentence with "I've been wondering about ...", mentioning an alternative.

Anyhow, that's enough complicated codes for now, hopefully these will allow us to communicate intent a bit better so we don't both end up targetting the same person like we did on Night 3.

Sorrit
(end message)

Eloth--Mischief: Kalse <> Mockra (succeeds)
Rashan--Kill: Shadow > D'riss > GL > Liosan > Sorrit > Eloth (hits Shadow, fails, Shadow is BP)
Kalse--Vig: Galayn Lord (succeeds, GL is vulnerable because Eloth dies)
message for Elle (succeeds, Sorrit gets message):
I hope you don't die tonight!

I vigged Galayn Lord. I get a vig every time a viper dies, so I got one from O-ren dying and another from Budd dying. First was Barghast and now GL, who seems pretty damn scummy to me, acting stupid after reveals to fish more info and always staying in the middle of post count and vote trains.

I've got a BP so I'm going to try and get you healed since I don't need it. Good luck!
(end message)

Night Actions - Night 3
Alkend--Kill: Kalse (swaps to Olar Ethil, Olar Ethil dies)
HP--Bestow Kill: Karatallid (granted)
Korbas--Mischief: Kalse <> Liosan (fails, lynched)
Shadow--Sushi: Olar Ethil (swaps to Kalse, succeeds)
Karat--Bestow BP: Karat (succeeds)
Rashan--Kill (only works if target is on lynch train): Olar Ethil (swaps to Kalse, fails as Kalse is BP)
Bill--Kill: Barghast > Fener (Succeeds, Barghast dies)
Eloth: Mischief: Kalse <> Olar Ethil (Succeeds)
Bill--message for Elle (message goes to Sorrit):
I was going to tell you all about Korbas in this message but that's been covered.

I'll try to keep you from getting exposed/lynched, but in a sense the suspicion on you will hopefully make the scum look elsewhere. If possible you may want to try and clarify the reflection/action-redirection bit you were talking about, which I gather you got from what I said in the last message. Since Korbas has revealed he targeted us on night 1, and people already know im bill, try something like how you got a message intended for me on night 1 and therefore knew something was a bit amiss, but try to make it seem like you're just an RI so hopefully the won't go for you. As you can tell, I'm trying to hide that I can talk to you, or for that matter anyone, as it'll end up exposing you and they'll kill you.

I'll try to keep you un-lynched as best I can without overtly symping you.

Also, I'm vigging Barghast tonight.
(end message)

Sorrit--Kill (every other night): Barghast > Eloth (fails, guarded)
Sorrit--message for Bill (message is lost as the target was swapped and Olar Ethil dies, also fails due to being guarded):
Shame you had to reveal :). Going to be difficult to keep you alive now. Can you tell me what abilities you have? I'm writing this hurriedly as I don't have much time before the lynch is achieved. I targetted Barghast tonight. Also, Karatallid knows who I am, since he got the message I sent to you on Day 2. Sir Thursday
(end message)

Liosan--Guard (1 remaining after this): Sorrit (succeeds)

Olar and Barghat die. Sorrit gets Kalse's message. Karat gains a kill. Kalse requires 1 less vote to lynch.

Night Actions - Night 2
Sorrit--message for Bill (Kalse)--redirected to Karatallid:
Hey Bill, it's Elle here. I tried to send you a message yesterday but I got targetted by some kind of Reflecting ability that meant my text got sent back to me. I get kills every other night, but I'm not going to use one tonight just in case I get targetted by the reflection ability again (don't wanna fall on my sword :p). At the moment I don't know who you are - mention breakfast cereal in your first post tomorrow so I know you (I'm Sorrit AKA Sir Thursday, BTW).

Kalse--message for Elle (Sorrit):
Hi. This is Bill. I can send you messages every night, but there is some sort of mechanic that the bride or assassin can redirect/intercept messages which is what happened last night and why you didn't get a message from me (I assume. It was redirected back to me from my perspective). I already know your role, but not your alt. What I'd like you to do is signal me by using the word monkey sometime in Day 3.

Either you'll get this message successfully and no one else will know to look for that, or it'll be redirected/intercepted, you won't get the message and whoever does end up with this message won't know anything beyond that it was sent by Bill. If you successfully receive this, I'll signal you back by quoting your monkey post and using the word Uganda.

Sorry about all this paranoia, but on the flipside if I wasn't overly cautious the bride or assassin could end up learning both our alts and roles.

Korbas--Mischief: Kalse <> Karatallid

Rashan--Kill: D'riss (fails, BP)
Alkend--Kill: Kalse (swaps to Karat, fails, BP)
Eloth--Mischief: Shadow <> Olar
HP--Bestow Kill: D'riss

Night Actions - Night 1
Sorrit--message for Bill--redirected to Sorrit (self):
Ellie the Deadly Viper here. I can text you every night, but don't know who you are. Mention a breakfast cereal of some kind in your first post tomorrow so I know you (this is Sorrit).
Korbas--Mischief: Kalse <> Sorrit

Rashan--Kill: Shadow

Kalse--message for Sorrit (redirected to Kalse, self):
Elle, this is Bill aka Kalse. Korbas is BB. For now, keep her from getting killed and above all keep the bride from finding her. Korbas doesn't seem to know me (or the bride) and has been signalling himself a bit, so we may have to kill him at some point to keep the bride from having BB.

I don't know your alt, so signal me by using the word monkey sometime during day 2. If you know any other town members, say their name in the same post as the monkey as well. If you have any abilities, start a new line/paragraph in the monkey post with the letter for that action (G for guard, F for find, etc). My own abilities consist of text-messaging you and I get a vig after each viper dies.

That's all I got for now, good luck!

D'rek's got some heavy reasoning for his attack of B.B.

Kalse, on 11 December 2009 - 04:30 AM, said:

other thought: isn't Gwynn playing in this game? props to them (unless they are dead), as I haven't seen a single person stand out to me as noticeably inexperienced!

Kalse, on 11 December 2009 - 03:00 PM, said:

Oh and for the record, here, I'm cognizant that I'm probably going to suffer in some way from BB dying (but I shouldn't, because it's not *me* killing her, it'll be a whole mob of people!), but I'm also thinking that if BB were alive and with the bride the bride would gain some ability, so I can at least prevent that (if im right).

Post 2

Kill Bill! is a bloody Mafia game with characters based on Quentin Tarantino movie(s) of the same name. At its core, it's essentially town (various civilians and the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad) vs scum (The Bride and her allies), with an assassin (Pai Mei) out to kill EVERYONE.

The Cast

Those Out to Kill Bill
The Bride
Hattori Hanzo

The Deadly Viper Assassination Squad and their Allies
O-Ren Ishii
Vernita Green
Elle Driver
Budd
Bill
Sofie Fatale
Gogo Yubari
Johnny Mo
B.B.
Buck
Nikki Bell

Others
Quentin Tarantino
Esteban Vihaio
Pai Mei
Charlie Brown
Charlie Brown's Wife

Note: If the end of the game is Pai Mei, Hattori Hanzo, and The Bride, both Pai Mei and The Bride will win.

Note 2: Something to remember is that there are different types of kills in this game. Lynch, the obvious kind. Night kill, again obvious. And finally, EXECUTIONS. Executions cannot be stopped by any method. The Bride executes anybody who reveals their name, and her Physical Displacement works as an Execution too (with a special condition if it hits Karatallid or D'riss). There was another execution for Olar, but I screwed it up, my only mod failure this game.

The Bride's Team

The Bride said:

You are The Bride. You are on a quest for vengeance against the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, who gunned down you and your fiancee 4 years ago.

In order for you to win, O-Ren Ishii, Vernita Green, Elle Driver, Budd, Bill, and 'The Assassin' must ALL die. It doesn't matter how they die.

Wiggle your big toe -- Unable to vote on Day 1. You have recently awakened from a coma and are extremely crippled, both mentally and physically. You will grow stronger over time and gain new abilities. Your action tonight will be to find Hattori Hanzo and convince him to craft you a sword with which you plan to exact vengeance (no confirmation is required from you for this). You may not vote on Day 1, due to your crippled state!

They should check the dental records -- Physical Displacement, 1-time use. Your quest for vengeance will not be easily stopped. If you would be killed in some way, you fake your death. Your character's name (The Bride) will be given in a CF, making it appear that you have died. But you will immediately displace one alt in the game of your choice. You may choose anybody you wish and that person will effectively die and you will take over the alt (similar to a Faceless Man). The displaced player will go to Spoilers in your stead (and probably be mad).

The Black Mamba Strikes! -- Specialty Kill. If anyone EVER calls you by your real name (Beatrix Kiddo), you will kill that person, bypassing all protections. This restriction will eventually be lifted and the game will be informed of such.

Bitch, you don't have a future -- Reveal Kill, 3-time automatic use. If any player, other than Bill, ever reveals their character, you will kill them. You may not use this against people who reveal their role mechanics, ONLY if players reveal their role name. This works for both real and fake reveals. This will bypass any and all protection mechanics.

After Night 1 - you will gain the following:
She got herself a Hanzo sword? -- Night Kill, permanent. Each night, you may stalk and attempt to kill someone.

After Night 3 - you will gain the following:
Roaring rampage of revenge -- Night Kill, permanent. You may stalk and attempt to kill an additional target each night.

After Night 5 - you will gain the following:
Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique -- Your vote counts as 2-3 votes, 1-time use. For today only, your vote will count as 3 votes. If there are 5 people or less left in the game, your vote counts as 2 votes instead. This only affects a vote for a player, NOT a vote for Night.

You and I have unfinished business -- Win at 3 players If there are 3 players left in the game and 'The Assassin' is dead, you will automatically win.

On Night 1, The Bride will learn who Hattori Hanzo is and vice versa. They may communicate off-thread during Day 2 ONLY.

Note: The Bride cannot kill B.B. Instead, B.B. will learn who the Bride is and join her faction.

Note: If Physical Displacement is used, The Bride gains the following:
Beaten but not Broken--You only have one kill again. You are bruised from the ordeal of surviving and can only manage one kill a night again.

Hattori Hanzo said:

You are Hattori Hanzo. You are a master swordsman who swore an oath to never again create another killing instrument. That oath may soon be broken.

In order for you to win, O-Ren Ishii, Vernita Green, Elle Driver, Budd, Bill, and 'The Assassin' must ALL die. It doesn't matter how they die.

You know how to craft a sword stronger than any other. You will craft The Bride a sword on Night 1 (no action is required to do this).

Pacifist -- You cannot vote. Due to a life dedicated to helping others instead of harming them, your vote does not count.

Respected -- +2 votes required to lynch you. You are well-respected by assassins of all creed. It takes two votes more than normal to lynch you.

Honored -- Bulletproof. Nobody would dare kill the great Hattori Hanzo.

His sushi is still terrible -- -1 vote permanently required to lynch someone. Starting on Night 2, you may cook a batch of sushi and give it to someone. That person will require one less vote to lynch permanently (they will be informed of such). You may not give someone sushi on consecutive nights.

If the Bride is permanently killed, Hattori Hanzo will get the following message:
The Bride was killed and it is up to you to finish what she started. You have forsaken your oaths and have taken up the mantle of war, once more.

The finest sword -- Night Kill, permanent -- Each night, you may stalk and attempt to kill someone.

Fall from grace -- Loss of abilities -- You may now vote. You no longer require +2 votes to lynch. You no longer can make sushi every night.

The 'Town'

O-Ren Ishii said:

You are O-Ren Ishii. Inducted into a life of violence at an early age after witnessing the brutal execution of both of your parents, you are one of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. The Bride has awakened from her coma and is looking for revenge, and you're one of her targets!

In order to win, you must stop the Bride and her allies before all of the Deadly Vipers are killed.

The Crazy 88's -- Bullet proof, permanent (conditional). As long as Johnny Mo is alive, you cannot be killed, but you can be lynched.

At the end of Night 2, you will gain the following:

Go, Gogo -- Night Kill, 1-time use. If Gogo is still alive, you may command her to go and execute a target of your choice. This will prevent her from doing anything else that night.

Vernita Green said:

You are Vernita Green. Once a world-class assassin, you have forsaken the life of crime for a simple domestic existence. The problem is that The Bride has awakened from her coma and is looking for revenge, and you're one of her targets!

In order to win, you must stop the Bride and her allies before all of the Deadly Vipers are killed.

Not in front of my daughter -- Bullet proof, permanent (conditional). As long as Nikki Bell (your daughter) is alive, you cannot be killed, although you can still be lynched.

We'll have us a knife fight -- Night kill, 1-time use. You may throw a knife and kill one person.

Budd said:

You are Budd. By your estimation, The Bride deserves her revenge. However, you don't want to die just yet!

In order to win, you must stop the Bride and her allies before all of the Deadly Vipers are killed. You also have an additional victory condition: Elle Driver must die.

Two barrels of rock salt -- bullet proof, 1-time, night-only. The first time someone tries to kill you, they will be shot full of rock salt. That person will be unable to kill you for the rest of the game.

As useful as an asshole... -- Progressively easier to lynch. As a bouncer at a bar, you are tough and hard to lynch, requiring +1 vote to lynch. However, you're about to lose your job and become a drunken reprobate slob. Every two days, you will require 1 less vote to lynch.

Note: Elle Driver is immune to 'Two barrels of rock salt' and will bypass it if she tries to kill Budd.

Elle Driver said:

You are Elle Driver. You are one of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. The Bride is pretty ticked that you tried to kill her four years ago and is out looking for revenge, and you're on her list!

In order to win, you must stop the Bride and her allies before all of the Deadly Vipers are killed. You have an additional special victory condition: You also must ensure that Budd is dead.

Cyclops -- -1 Vote to Lynch. You only have one eye, and can't easily see people coming from all sides. You are more easily lynched.

I killed that miserable old fool -- Every other night (Night 2, Night 4, etc), you may attempt to kill someone.

Cell Phone - Text Message every night You may send a text message to Bill every night, saying whatever you wish. You do not know who Bill is at this time. Send Path-Shaper your message and it will be relayed.

Note: If Elle or Bill dies, whoever killed them will get the cell phone and will gain this ability.

Bill said:

You are Bill. You're the man. You ran the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad for a long time, falling for the beautiful Bride. But she ran off and broke your heart and your payback was... not kind. She's now awakened from her coma and coming to get you!

In order to win, you must stop the Bride and her allies before all of the Deadly Vipers are killed.

Cell Phone -- Text Message every night You may send a text message to Elle Driver every night, saying whatever you wish. You do not know who Elle Driver is at this time. Send Path-Shaper your message and it will be relayed.

Murdering Bastard -- Gain a Kill. Every time one of the Deadly Vipers are killed, you will gain a kill that you may use during any night.

I'm the man -- +3 votes to lynch. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, messes with you. It takes 3 votes more than normal to lynch you. Every time a Deadly Viper is killed, this number decreases by 1.

Baby, you ain't kidding -- Night-Kill immunity, permanent. You can't be night killed.

B.B.-- B.B. (XXXXXXX) is your daughter with The Bride. It is of vital importance that you do not let The Bride find her!

Note: Bill can use Murdering Bastard on B.B. but it will not kill her. If B.B. has been recruited by The Bride, she will be recruited 'back' to Bill's team (this process continues indefinitely or until Bill runs out of kills).

Gogo Yubari said:

You are Gogo Yubari. You are O-Ren Ishii's (Spite) personal bodyguard.

In order to win, you must stop the Bride and her allies before all of the Deadly Vipers are killed.

Well-trained bodyguard -- All night actions directed at O-Ren Ishii will be redirected to you.. Nothing gets to O-Ren without going through you, first.

Cruel and Unusual Punishment -- -1 Vote to Lynch someone. You may torture someone each night. That person requires one less vote to lynch on the following day. You may not torture the same person on consecutive nights.

Note: If Johnny Mo and O-Ren Ishii are still alive, Johnny's ability will protect Gogo Yubari from night kills as if she were O-Ren, but NOT from lynches.

Note: If O-Ren Ishii is killed (except by the Bride inhabiting her body), Gogo Yubari gains the following:
Up past your bedtime -- All powers are lost, -2 Votes to Lynch. O-Ren Ishii is dead, and you are now completely powerless. You also are very easily lynched, requiring 2 less votes than normal.

Note: If O-Ren Ishii is taken over by The Bride, Gogo and Johnny will NOT be told, but The Bride will NOT gain the same protection she had.

Johnny Mo said:

You are Johnny Mo. You are the leader of the Crazy 88's, O-Ren Ishii's (XXXXXXX) Yakuza clan.

In order to win, you must stop the Bride and her allies before all of the Deadly Vipers are killed.

The Crazy 88's -- Protect O-Ren Ishii, permanent. While you are alive, O-Ren Ishii cannot be killed, although she can be lynched.

Notorious Gangster -- -2 Votes to Lynch, permanent. You require 2 less votes to lynch, since you're constantly on the run from the police. If you are alive when there are 10 players left in the game, this becomes -1 Vote to Lynch.

B.B. said:

You are B.B. You are the offspring of The Bride and Bill (XXXXXXXX). The Bride is coming to kill your daddy and you don't want that to happen!

In order to win, you must stop the Bride and her allies before all of the Deadly Vipers are killed.

Bang bang, Mommy! -- +1 vote to lynch. 1-time bullet proof. You require an additional vote to lynch. You also can avoid a single night kill.

Shoddy allegiance -- If The Bride finds you, you will join her side. If she is subsequently killed, you will become her avatar and gain all of her powers.

Note: If B.B. is hit by the Bride at night, she will not be killed and will instead change sides to work with The Bride (learning her identity). If she has lost her Bullet Proof ability, she will gain it back.

Note: If Hanzo is still alive, B.B. gains the powers first.

Buck said:

Your name is Buck, and you like to F*ck. You're a local orderly at a hospital and have been taken advantage of The Bride's comatose state for several years for a side profit. Unfortunately, she woke up. Hopefully she won't find out what you've been up to!

In order to win, you must stop the Bride and her allies before all of the Deadly Vipers are killed.

You got a purdy mouth -- Guard, 2-time use. You may pop someone in the mouth twice in the game. Each time you do, that person will be guarded during the night.

Pussy Wagon -- Lynch proof, 1-time use. If you are in the process of being lynched (over halfway to the required votes), you may choose to get away in your truck to hide. The day will immediately end and you will be immune to all actions during that night. You may attempt to run someone over during that night. That person will be unable to vote the next day.

Nikki Bell said:

You are Nikki Bell. You are Vernita Green's (XXXXXXX) child. She pissed off The Bride before you were born and now The Bride is back for revenge!

In order to win, you must stop the Bride and her allies before all of the Deadly Vipers are killed.

Mommy! -- Protect Vernita Green, permanent. While you are alive, Vernita Green (your mother) cannot be killed, although she can be lynched.

Stinkin' cute -- +1 Vote to Lynch, permanent. You require an additional vote to lynch, because you're so darned cute!

Misplayed toys -- Target swap Every night, you may pick two players. Night actions against one will affect the other and vice versa.

Sofie Fatale said:

You are Sofie Fatale. You have worked with Bill extensively in the past. You are currently working with O-Ren Ishii and hope to avoid the Bride's wrath!

In order to win, you must stop the Bride and her allies before all of the Deadly Vipers are killed.

Solid case - Double vote. Your vote counts double. Being a lawyer has its perks.

Bloodsucker -- -1 vote to lynch. Being a lawyer also has its downside.

Beg for your life -- If you would be killed (not lynched), you may beg for your life (via a note to Path-Shaper) from your assailant. If the assailant agrees to your terms, you will 'appear' to join his or her team, although your victory conditions will not actually change. You will, however, be forced to always add your two votes to the assailant's in lynching scenarios. If you reveal that you are now under the assailant's dominion on-thread, you will be immediately executed by the assailant and you will automatically lose the game.

You are called 'Charlie Brown' by the Crazy 88's. You own the House of Blue Leaves.

You have a special victory condition. You and your wife must survive to the end of the game to win.

Communication is key -- Off-thread communication. You may communicate with your spouse off-thread at all times. Please CC Path-Shaper on your conversations.

Strength of Marriage -- +2 votes to lynch. While you live, you and your wife both require an extra 3 votes to lynch. When there are 10 players left in the game, this will be +1 vote.

Til Death do us part -- Linked Lives. If one of you dies, you both die.

Charlie Browns Wife said:

You are "Charlie Brown's" wife. Your husband (XXXXXX) owns the House of Blue Leaves.

You have a special victory condition. You and your husband must survive to the end of the game to win.

Communication is key -- Off-thread communication. You may communicate with your spouse off-thread at all times. Please CC Path-Shaper on your conversations.

Strength of Marriage -- Partial Immunity. The first kill against either you or your husband will fail. You will be told when this happens. At that point, you may pick one of you every night. The person who is picked will be immune to night actions for that night.

Til Death do us part -- Linked Lives. If one of you dies, you both die.

Note: if possessed by the Bride, Til Death do us Part will not trigger. The other player will still be alive although they will not have the shared ability from the dead spouse. The Bride will be able to continue the off-thread comms if she desires.

Esteban Vihaio said:

You are Esteban Vihaio. You are a Mexican pimp who raised Budd and Bill when they were children.

You have a special victory condition. You may simply survive to the end of the game to win.

Words of wisdom -- Double vote. Your vote counts as 2 votes.

Friend to all, enemy to none -- +2 votes to lynch. It takes two votes more than normal to lynch you. If you are hit by a Night Kill, this ability will decrease to +1 vote to lynch the first time, and you will be killed the second time.

Gentleman of Leisure -- Hide behind someone. You may go on vacation each night. Pick one player in the game. Any actions that target you will fail. You will, however, be hit by any actions that target the player behind whom you have chosen to hide.

Pai Mei said:

You are Pai Mei. You are the definition of psycho. You randomly flip out and kill people for the slightest hint of insolence. (This is intended to be an extremely difficult role, so consider yourself challenged.)

Kill everyone! Don't ask about your win condition! You're a fucking martial arts master and will kill yourself for such insolent questions!

Eagle Claw, Tiger Crane -- Bulletproof -- You can't be night killed. You're just too damn agile!

Night Retribution -- Specialty Night Kill -- If the day times out without a lynch, you may kill any person that didn't vote. If the players vote for night, you may kill any player that voted for night.

HYAH! -- Night Kill -- Every night, you may kill a target of your choice. You may only kill a target that participated in a lynching vote.

Put your fist through them! -- Lynch vote retaliation, 1-time use. It's difficult to lynch you, because you are so lethal up-close. If you are ever lynched, you will immediately retaliate and kill the person who cast the lynching vote. You will also not be lynched that day.

Take me with you! -- If there are 3 players left in the game (and the Bride is dead), you may make a deal with one player to bring them with you for the win. You must make this deal on-thread. If the player sides with you and votes off the other player, you and the 'taken' player will both win.

Note: Hattori Hanzo may not take the deal, because he may not vote.

Quentin Tarantino said:

You are Quentin Tarantino. You like to make cameos in all of your movies and this one is no exception. Normally, you are just one of the Crazy 88's, but as the director of the movie, you have a variety of special abilties. (This is intended to be a difficult role to play, so consider yourself challenged.)

In order to win, you need to see to it that both Bill and The Bride are killed, because you like bloody narratives.

CUT! -- End Day, 1-time use. You may end the day immediately.

Action! -- Bestow Kill. You may bestow a 1-time usage kill on any player of your choice. That player may use that kill in addition to their normal abilities for that night. If the kill is used on you, you will be unaffected. The player will not know who gave them the ability. You like your movies nice and bloody.

Take Five! -- Lynch proof and bullet proof, 1-time use (shared)
. The first time you are lynched or killed, you will still live to see the next day. Everybody that tried to lynch or kill you that day/night will require 2 less votes to lynch the next day (they will be informed).

Note: Quentin Tarantino will be informed if the Bride fakes her death.

Note: Hattori Hanzo may not use the Action! kill if given it.

Nightly mischief -- Target swap -- You can pick two targets and swap them. Abilities that would hit one will hit the other, and vice versa.

AWESOME! Thanks PB, you're my fav mod now.

But man, you know I will blow up and suicide day 2 because I have an awesome role, don't you? Don't you?

Also, am I supposed to know who Daddy Dearest is, who let's me watch Shogun Assassin before going to bed? There's XXXX in the PM, as you can see (although I can see knowing Bill would be somewhat broken if Shoddy Allegiance is activated...)

D'reKalse reviews her role.

In order to win, you must stop the Bride and her allies before all of the Deadly Vipers are killed.
I noticed that here and in the rules you said "stop" the Bride and allies. Interesting.

Would those be one-time-use kills or for every viper killed can I kill that many people every single night?!

Oh and, the vipers are Lucy Liu, Black girl, Budd and Elle, right? I don't count as one do I?
Baby, you ain't kidding -- Night-Kill immunity, permanent. You can't be night killed.
YAAAAAAAAYYYYYZZZZZZZ
B.B.-- B.B. (Korbas) is your daughter with The Bride. It is of vital importance that you do not let The Bride find her!
Already signalled Korbas with the "You bastard!" bit. Didn't wanna be too obvious in case maybe BB is not so much on my side...

The kills you gain from Murdering Bastard would be single-use. And yes, the other Deadly Vipers are O-Ren Ishii, Vernita Green, Budd, and Elle Driver. You count as one for the Bride's win condition obviously, but not for your own ability.
TapperKorbas has some theories... pretty much all wrong.
I think Kalse is GK, isn't he?

So, let me guess at the set-up.

The Bride is a finder-killer.
She has Pai-Mei and Hattori Hanzo on her side.

the RIs are the crazy 88.
Oh-Ren has a one-time vig and can maybe ninja her C88s.
Elle Driver is a mean bitch, probably a guardish thingie.
Copperhead... I dunno.
Bill is awesomeness incarnated. Probably also a finder.
Budd is probably some guilt-ridden BP dude who can teach stuff.
And I am a kid who watches a Lone Wolf and Cub movie adaptation featuring the most on-screen kills by 1 character in the history of film.

I particularly look forward to noticing how wrong I am :p
ObdiShadow gets a look and is pleased... I also clarify for him.
Awesome!

So, first, is that a permenant Bulletproof? I can never die unless lynched?

Second, is my vote whoever ignored? Is it put on then not counted, or do I get modkilled if I vote?

I take it I am on 'the brides' faction?

Yes, you are permanently bulletproof and can only die from a lynch, as far as you know (I'm being cryptic intentionally).

Yes, I clarified that you may vote but it won't be counted. I thought about forcing you to never vote at all, but that seemed extremely punitive.

Yes, you're on the Bride's faction. You don't know who she is.
Silencer is also pleased.
quote name='Fener' timestamp='1260221461' date='07 December 2009 - 01:31 PM']

Fuck. Good role, FENER ALT. XD

Given, I think there will be plenty of NK's flying around, I'm clearly a day-playing role. Remain lynchable (given getting an additional two votes *should be hard*, 'cept I'm in the Fener alt), try not to give up the ghost on the vote thing (is it obvious, or will I be able to sneak someone onto L-1 and have everyone think they're L-2?), and if I'm feeling vulnerable hide behind someone - but only until I lose my BP.
Awesome winning condition, too. Must not let that get out, or I'd be everyone's target day and night. :S

Cheers PB! It's kinda like playing with two alts, right? :p

lol, you can consider it playing with 2 alts if you want.

You can try to sneak in your vote to mask its double nature. I'm not going to simply say that you voted twice. That is obviously hidden information.
DreKalse wants to kill off old Tap already, haha!
Hmm, new question:

So I don't want the Bride to find BB... is there any reason why I shouldn't just kill BB to prevent that from happening then?

I'm going to assume that's a Rhetorical question for now. (For one, you don't have any kills right now.) You play the game however you think is best :)
Thanks, Bubba. I realize Balance is a MESS with all of the various BPs, LPs, extra votes or less votes to lynch, double votes, etc flying around, but I consider that part of the challenge :)

We've had a lot of games lately end in reveal fests and I think it best to encourage a lot of dicey play and worried players.

Cyclops -- -1 Vote to Lynch. You only have one eye, and can't easily see people coming from all sides. You are more easily lynched.

I killed that miserable old fool -- Every other night (Night 2, Night 4, etc), you may attempt to kill someone.

Action! is a night action.

Cut! is a day action, but because it ends day, and there are 0-hour nights, if you were planning taking a night action, make sure you put that in at the same time (or earlier).

Notorious Gangster -- -2 Votes to Lynch, permanent. You require 2 less votes to lynch, since you're constantly on the run from the police. If you are alive when there are 10 players left in the game, this becomes -1 Vote to Lynch.

Barghast, on 08 December 2009 - 03:11 AM, said:

Somehow it may be more disturbing than anything else, but I suppose I could say that of a few roles likely to be in this game.

Anyway, some role thoughts and a question you probably won't answer.

Basically, as this is not a faction game, the lynch lowering really only becomes useful later in the game. Using it early on will just lead to unneeded WIFOM if the alt I target is lynched. As it stands my purpose, aside from finding the Bride and her allies, is to stay alive long enough that this becomes useful and/or long enough to shield Spite from one or more actions. If she rates a bodyguard, O-Ren may have some useful abilities, so hopefelly Spite stays low enough that they are not taken out early.

Does Spite have any idea that I am her bodyguard?

also, do I know who O-ren and Bill are?

also, double votes iz awesomes.

Olar Ethil, on 08 December 2009 - 03:42 AM, said:

oh, and I hope you don't make my double-vote obvious on the count, or I shall hate you.

Path-Shaper, on 08 December 2009 - 04:03 AM, said:

I'm not sure why you think the assailant would reveal that information, but since you're kind of fishing for info, I won't say anything on it.

No, you don't have to submit any provisional. Essentially, if you WOULD be killed, I will send you a message and then proceed to start the next day. You will then get a chance to plead for your life, while the day is ongoing. If things don't go your way, you will die during the day.

Normally, you do know who O-Ren and Bill are, but since this game takes place all over the world and you aren't near either one at the time, effectively you don't know who they are in the game.

I'll just add your vote as normal, I'm sure you know. The 'double' nature of it would be hidden, naturally.

And Baudinkend is... unhappy with his role? hah!

alt'riss and Bentatallid start their communication:

D, on 08 December 2009 - 06:56 AM, said:

Hi there

Alt here, seems you're my wife :p.

Right, seems we've just got to survive, I'm not sure if we still win when town wins if we die (@ PS Clarification please.), so I think we just need to stay out of trouble and try not to draw any NKS. The extra votes to lynch us will definitely help, especially against late-day lynches. Not too much of a problem from me - Pretty busy this week, then I'm on holiday, so I'm likely gonna be a bit of low-poster.

I haven't coded anything, I see you haven't either - it's not worth it since we both die if either of us is killed, so we can't CI ourselves off the other's CF. If worst comes to worst though we can prove off-thread comms if we're forced to reveal. If we can convince The Bride that we aren't Vipers or the serial killer there's a chance she'll let us live since we aren't part of her win condition. And technically we can win when she does too, so we dont actually have a reason to try kill her. Nice situation for us, since we can choose sides if we're still alive late game.

I think we need to be the most wary of the serial killer, since getting rid of two people in one night definitely helps him. So we probably shouldn't mention we have a shared life unless we absolutely have to or we know the SK is dead. The rest of the players are probably more concerned about The Bride though, since she has slightly easier win conditions than the SK. So let's try keep an eye out for the SK, we can discuss possibilities off-thread, try not to mention him too much on thread or we'll be accused of trying to fear-monger and distract from The Bride.

Cheers

Karatallid, on 08 December 2009 - 11:38 AM, said:

This is Bent - headed to work. see you a little later. Who are you?

Path-Shaper, on 08 December 2009 - 03:55 PM, said:

You have a special victory condition. You win when any faction wins that doesn't need you to die, so you can win with either The Bride OR The Deadly Vipers.

Also, I want to clarify that the two of you do NOT have identical role PMs. You have slightly different abilities.

Barg ap Nudd is contemplating her(?) strategy.

Barghast, on 08 December 2009 - 04:07 AM, said:

Didn't think you would tell me.

Seems Spite may be in a may different timezone, so not sure I can let them know without being too obvious. Decisions, decisions...

Barghast, on 08 December 2009 - 04:43 AM, said:

Wait, I just reread the opening post. I need the Bride and friends to die, but not the assassin like the rest of town?

Path-Shaper, on 08 December 2009 - 05:09 AM, said:

Bleh, sorry. The PM wasn't updated. I had a lot of last minute changes due to the number of players varying. Consider the description of your VC from the game thread to be official.

Barghast, on 08 December 2009 - 05:55 AM, said:

NP, noted.

Jump Lord gets his first peek at his role.

Galayn Lord, on 08 December 2009 - 08:03 AM, said:

Hmmm, interesting.

Now I don't seem to know any of the other three Vipers, nor my daughter. That will take some thinking.
Going to read the thread now...

Path-Shaper, on 08 December 2009 - 03:58 PM, said:

It's quite the pickle, no? :)

DibSpite wishes he knew more.

Spite, on 08 December 2009 - 08:19 AM, said:

i really should be told who the crazy 88 and gogo are. its not like they arent distinctive :p

i asusme they know me even though i dont know they, ala sympage.

Path-Shaper, on 08 December 2009 - 04:00 PM, said:

Consider it more like, while you do normally know them, they aren't "next to you" right now, so you don't know who they are.

Dibs is cagey... and already wants to reveal? Haha, people are in for a treat if they start to reveal...!

Spite, on 08 December 2009 - 02:02 PM, said:

they fall into my trap. by appearing to have made a mistake, they will subconciously no longer believe that i am the bride or the assassin who would know their own winning conditions.

Spite, on 08 December 2009 - 02:20 PM, said:

so tempted to reveal :p just to be a total dick.

Taporbas wants to start the fun times.

Korbas, on 08 December 2009 - 10:33 AM, said:

Nightly Misschief: all actions targeting Fener to D'riss, and vice versa. Fener is straightaway going for content, which means he is either a roled Viper in need of protection, or someone that needs to die. D'riss for no particular reason.

I'm likely to change later on :p

Korbas, on 08 December 2009 - 04:07 PM, said:

Scratch that.

I want Fener and Spite to switch, please :p

Korbas, on 08 December 2009 - 04:10 PM, said:

Edit: Weird. I would have sworn I had the 'cry me a river, dickbag' comment quoted. Oh well.

If I wasn't determined to play the game as I think it should be played, I wouldn't consider your post worthy of replying as your every word shows you care more about polishing your pole and satisfying your inner baboon that relishes noting more than throwing your shit around. Were I a four year old, I could appreciate that.If you want to get serious, explain to me how we are going to be able to choose who we take care of first, bride or assassin.

Goddamnit Korbas, my job just got a lot harder... and I just checked and BB is precisely 4 years old according to wikipedia. If the Bride has any brainz at all she's gonna catch this, find BB and we'll be screwed the pooch. Maybe I better justget the kid lynched now...

Tellan has joined the party too.

Tellan, on 08 December 2009 - 04:30 PM, said:

Hmm, looks like i'm not suited to a long game then, particularly if we get a split train.

The BP will come in handy. Do I get informed once it's gone?

Gonna have to lay low and try and figure out driver. That's particularly difficult since I don't know her role. Laying low and trying to survive lynches is probably my best hope, trying to get driver lynched before I am. From the rules it seems like I may be a deadly viper? Am I?

And is elle?

Path-Shaper, on 08 December 2009 - 04:36 PM, said:

Yes, you will be informed if the BP is gone.

Yes, you and Elle are both Deadly Vipers. Haven't you seen the movie?!

Tellan, on 08 December 2009 - 04:48 PM, said:

Nope.

Anyway this is good.

But the bride, I reckon, will be on the look out for people laying low. Dislike how quickly spite dropped the attack on korbas.

DreKalse is also fishing for info!

Kalse, on 08 December 2009 - 05:36 PM, said:

Okay, I'm jumbling myself mentally so I gotta ask: When you say my NK immunity is permanent, do you mean like actually really really permanent and there is no way I can lose it the entire game?

Path-Shaper, on 08 December 2009 - 05:38 PM, said:

You really think I'm going to answer that? :)

Kalse, on 08 December 2009 - 05:46 PM, said:

Yes, I do. You're the one who used the word "permanent". I need to know your definition of that word. I need to know if you define that as "long-lasting" or as "indefinitely unalterable". It makes a huge difference to how I conduct myself in this game, whether I try to subtly draw some NKs away from the other vipers or if I bide my time collecting vigs...

Path-Shaper, on 08 December 2009 - 05:51 PM, said:

I've given you exactly the information I intended to give you in your role PM. It's up to you as to how you interpret that.

Kalse, on 08 December 2009 - 05:58 PM, said:

:p
fine

For the record then, I'm currently thinking that my invincibility goes away when the bride finds BB, else whats to stop me from just revealing and drawing all the NAs? Course then I must wonder what if BB dies before the bride finds her... probably the same...

Path-Shaper, on 08 December 2009 - 06:13 PM, said:

Sir Sorrit throws out some alt guesses... nailing 2 of 4 (he guessed 2 people not in it)

Sorrit, on 08 December 2009 - 07:13 PM, said:

Liosan = Impirion (he's trying to pretend to be me, I can tell - it was quite obvious from his first post...)
Spite = DiBs
Kalse = DkT (If he's playing)
Korbas = Morgoth (Not 100% about this one)

That's all for the moment. (But it's important I get that Impirion alt-guess out there for posterity. Pretty sure all the hippy-speak I've been spouting will have prevented him from spotting me just yet).

Rashan Dude lays out his strategy.

Rashan, on 08 December 2009 - 07:30 PM, said:

Kill Eloth if he is on a Lynch Train
if he isn't
Kill Fener if he is on the Lynch Train
if he isn't
Kill D'riss if he is on the Lynch Train
if he isn't
Kill Spite if he is on the Lynch Train
if he isn't
Kill Olar Ethil if he is on the Lynch Train
if he isn't
Kill Karatallid if he is on the Lynch Train

This list stays in effect throughout the game unless I provision otherwise. ( Which I probably will.. just don't want to miss a NK)

Also if there is no lynch... use that exact list but replace "Is on the" with "isn't on a"

Its a rough list for now with mostly the good mafia players... I want the old hats out as soon as possible, hopefully they are roled.. but if not, at least I am taking out people that can really hurt me down the line. Especially dibs.. pretty sure he ( spite? ) is RI .. Ri'd dibs is lethal to scum... BUT.. usually he gets himself lynched, so no real worries there :)

and if you threw in a role that can read provisionals to PS... YOU SUCK! :p

His strategy is sound--take out the old hats, but will be difficult to execute. Killing Eloth opens up GL to potentially be killed. Fener is a tough guy to lynch, although he'll take more than one shot to kill. The same applies to D'riss. Spite is safe from kills for the time being, although plenty can happen in several days. Olar's going to also be tough since he can try to beg for his life. And Karat will already be dead if D'riss dies.

Not sure I even want to lynch someone at this point!

Anyways, I'm going to bed, no kill for me tonight, and consider this confirmed when night comes.

SilenceFener is pleased with his positioning at this point in the game... although he doesn't know he's high up on The Dude's kill list.

Fener, on 08 December 2009 - 09:30 PM, said:

Wheeeee!

Some people don't like me a bit. 'Tis good...now just have to maintain that level of minor annoyance enough to SURVIVE THE ENTIRE GAME.

Trying not to do my usual low-posting, and actually keep up, though. That usually gets me lynched after about day 3, day 4 if I start playing properly all of a sudden - reserved for a killer role where I want to lurk then guide...this doesn't seem to fit that so much. XD

TellanGrief has ID'd his own team mate as a potential target. Doh!

Tellan, on 08 December 2009 - 10:35 PM, said:

Looking like Spite could be roled, his reasons make far more sense from the perspective of someone trying to lay low.

If he is, I have the easy defence that there is no way of telling the difference between roled and scum play so early.

Dibspite is considering revealing at this point... uh oh!

D'rek has a message for Elle.

Kalse, on 08 December 2009 - 10:47 PM, said:
