Let's try Rudy Reyes as Karsa Orlong perhaps? Or maybe better as Brys Beddict.

I cringe everytime somebody suggests somebody like Sam Worthington for Paran or even Orlando Bloom....I think that Cillian Murphy would make the best Ganoes Paran. I can not think of anybody better for the role.
Also for Toc the Younger i'd get Zachary Quinto...and i have an image of an older Johhny Depp playing Iskaral Pust :L

Sean Pertwee and Jason Isaacs would work well.......Jason Isaacs could play Tay or Hood maybe........Sean Pertwee could play any of the older Bridgeburners/Malazan soldiers.

sorry about Ganoes Paran, but please.... Orlando Bloom is not as the same match as Sam Worthington... At least Sam Worthington got a face... not a sweet pretty face like Orlando, that can play an elf but not Ganoes.... Anyway, we can disagree... That's the pleasure of discussion :p As for Cillian Murphy, i can't see him with a sword, but he could play one of the Mage... I don't have a good idea of Bottle, but he could be a good, intense mage... No?
So I repeat my choice and add another one... just to be nasty...:p
Ganoes Paran: Sam Wortington
Fiddler : Ray Stevenson
Quick Ben: Djimon Hounsou
And
Kalam: Oded Fehr...(in the Mummy).

On another hand if you prefer to not-so0much a star but good actor with english accent, you can go and look at the actor in the Robin Hood series, at the BBC.

Actually Jonas Armstrong (Robin Hood) could be Ganoes... I imagine him witht this kind of face but less smiling of course....

But no, I was refering to the guy playing the infamous Guy of Guisborne. Here's the image which make me think of him as Anomander...

Dude, all these people fit so well. I was thinking of Kalam as more of a big black guy though, like Michael Jai White, or Djimon Hounsou. I also pictured Quick Ben more of a skinny guy like Jamie Hector, although, if you switched Djimon Hounsou and Oded Fehr for QB and Kalam this would seem like a better fit.

Also Bill Nighy, dead ringer for Kallor (picture him with long white hair). I could see Michael Caine as Bugg, just because he has the perfect voice for all of those sarcastic remarks.
