I'd like to be able to turn myself into a bin (trash can) - ultimate urban camouflage

Failing that, I'd like to be able to conjour a cup of tea whenever, wherever.

Unless someone needed a bin. In which case you'd be completely out of place. I swear there are maybe two in the entire centre of manchester.

The ability to manipulate and understand matter/energy at its most basic level. A bit of a cheat I know as that means you could create copies of any object simply by rearranging base atoms in whatever was lying around. You could empty cash machines by simply supplying the electrical impulses necessary for the machine to simply spit out all the cash, in fact you could get manipulate bank accounts to say whatever you wanted. You could also cure diseases, make yourself invincible etc etc. but at heart I am a simple supervillain and would settle for wealth, power and the time to sit and read all those books I wanted to with my every whim catered for.

If I was allowed a second superpower it would be the ability to manipulate time/space. The usual time travel high jinks would occur and I would finally be able to know whether or not cave women actually wore fur bikinis.
Trust me, I'm a doctor.

several people here have said it, but, it's been my answer to this question for years now.

Ability to accelerate myself to the point where the world slows down to a halt, for as long as I need to.

basically, to freeze time.

in that way, I'd be able to accomplish an incredible amount of more things,

The frivolous natures of many of your choices astound me.

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

And what would you do with such an ability, D'rek? Drive mathematicians world wide insane? Why not turn math problems into vodka, at least you are still solving problems that way.

I'd like to be able to control psionic forces, that'd be pretty cool.

Making up words is a pretty fun superpower. But, not that rare. I think your hapogenisthetical approach to this subject is haphazard, though.

information absorption.

specifically, touch a book, and its the equivalent of reading it.
I'd need to be able to turn the power on and off, so that i can still
enjoy the sensation of reading a book when i fancy it, but otherwise,
studying becomes a breeze, and wandering through Borders becomes much more
interesting.

simplistic, but it would keep me happy.

Oh hell yeah...cramming would become obsolete!

My superpower would be to read, translate and fluently speak any and all languages. I'd insult people six and a half times before lapsing into English. ;)

Being able to jump two meters into the air. Whenever I was walking through a crowd, I would be all like, "Woohoo!" And everyone else would be all like, "WTF?", and cower in fear and confusion at my awesomeness.
The leader, his audience still,
considered their scholarly will.
He lowered his head
and with anguish he said,
"But how will we teach them to kill?"
