The sun rose and things seemed to be returning to normal in Forks. Eric Yorkie was chatting up Angela, hoping she'd go to the school dance with him (especially now that Bella was so tragically dead), when suddenly a creepy man they knew as Jasper came running up, blabbering about strange tracks and a blood-trail leading out into the woods. He gave them where and the two teenagers quickly sped off towards the site, though Jasper seemed afraid to go near the site for some reason.
At the entrance to the woods they found two parallel straight-line trails weaving between trees and with splatters of blood all around. As Angela phoned the police, they followed the lines into the woods where they found an overturned wheelchair and a horribly disfigured man. Most curious of all, many of the wounds on him seemed to be bite marks...

Alkend (Impirion) is dead. Police identified the body as Billy Black. A Coronary report indicates he was Human. The census bureau's report says he was associated with the Town.

It is now the prologue to Book 5.

Yeah that was a townie required for the now defunct Coven. Interesting that he isn't working with the werewolves, though, as we thought he would be.

Anyone disagree that the 'scene' makes it look like he was killed by Vampires (remaining Cullen or Evil Vamps?)

Hmm.. What if, and this is pretty far out into speculation land, Billy Black has sort of a godfather role? Leader of a scum faction, but comes up as town, human and all that in a cf or a find?

I don't know about godfather but I wouldn't be surprised if he was one of those exceptions to the rule about certain characters always have certain CFs. It seems to be a fact that Edward was the leader of the Cullen faction based on beru's symp failure, so by extension, I would imagine Jacob is the werewolf leader.

Note the coronary report - that rules out him being a werewolf...don't see how someone could fool that part of the CF. Pretty certain that he's town from that.

Yeah but the Wiki page specifically says he's human, not a werewolf, but he's a member of a Native American tribe and in a bloodline of werewolves (his grandfather was a werewolf, his son becomes one).
