Considering getting this.
MW2 is pre-ordered, and I can maybe get one more game before christmas, so it's going to be between this and L4D2.
Game looks good, but i'm not a massive RPG player, and L4D looks more like it'll be more fun with other people, and playing with mates is epic fun(though from what I see of the demo, the game will be lacking offline multiplayer of more than 2 players, which sucks.)
Not sure which i'll get, but it may have to wait till christmas.

There is a lot of talking. NOt reading, it's very well done voice acting, but yeah, you spand a lot of time in conversation. You can kp it if you want, but then you won't know what hte hell is going on or develop any emotional investment in the game. If you are'e into that aspect of RPGs, not the game for you most likely.

Ya, there's tons of dialogue. I've spent 16 hours on my main char, (the human noble, yes I know, 16 hours is pitiful, but I'm a busy guy) and I'd venture that about 7 of those hours have been spent conversing with people. Doing sidequests, getting my characters to like me a bit better, that kind of thing. Its all great VO, though, I'm loving it.

Yep, there's a lot of dialogue, not so much reading - it's all voiced. Except for your own character. But hey, the game would then probably be about 30Gb all up, so...XD

The order button like in Mass Effect? No such button. You can now control each char individually, so space still pauses but you can command each party member directly. Also, has anyone fooled around with the tactic settings yet? I don't have the patience to sort through them myself but they seem to be quite in depth. Do they work well?

Not really, just to get Leilani or whatever her name is to hang around at the back with her bow and not keep closing to melee. Apart from that they're all behaving fairly well anyway. I tend to let my own char (tanky warrior) and Leilani do their thing while I flt between Shale (cos his abilities are awesome) and Wynne.

Yes, they does works. Its kinda like the system from FFXII, but polished and functional and not filled with useless what-ifs. Great for setting up combos for mage spells, healing stuff or Zeeefag's awesomely deadly assassin skills.

Dear gawd. i havent been on here in 4 days because my life was consumed by DA. Finally beat it though. So of course i'll take a few hour break and start in again.
I didnt think there was too much dialogue. Especially w/ Alistar, that guy is friggin hilarious.

Assuming you have DLC or bought one of the editions that had them included...
You get Shale by going to the orange location on the map on the Western side of the big lake. well, you get the start of a quest that leads to him. He's awesome by the way, definately the best bonus/DLC thing. As well as being funny his combat abilities are great too.
You get the Blood amour chest plate immediately in your inventory, and the rest if sold by the dwarf with the 'special' son who loiters around your campsite.
You need to redeem the code on the EA website first though.
