Hi there from Cape Town, South Africa. I've been an on-and-off lurker on this forum for years now. Finally decided to get a bit more involved. I've read pretty much all the Malazan books except for the Broach novellas. Currently busy with my 1st re-read and just about finishing up The Bonehunters.

Do you by chance play a lot of X-box live?

Welcome Reaver. Enjoy yourself and remember almost anything goes, but no cat avatars. They're against the rules.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Besides for the fact that I'm allergic to cat fur, I also think that they have pure undiluted liquid evil in their veins. So no, no cat avatars here.

No Pagan Symbols and Christmas Story avatars allowed here. Meanies.

Welcome Reaver and Cobbles and others!
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Hello from sunny Scotland :)
I've been around this forum for sometime now although only made 1 previous post.....was shot down in flames so I disappeared into obscurity :)
I have been reader of this series of books since they were first published. One of the few pressies my wife has bought me that turned out good.
I have read all the books (several times over) so I though I would contribute to this forum aswell by subjecting you all to my inane waffle....even if its just to be shot down in flames again or ridiculed ;)

Greetings Creeping Flesh, welcome to the forum (even though you have been a member longer than I have!)

As for being shot down in flames, I would'nt worry about it too much as everyone here is actually very polite.....

Cue Brynjar......
Now all the friends that you knew in school they used to be so cool, now they just bore you.
Just look at em' now, already pullin' the plow. So quick to take to grain, like some old mule.

Hey All. Just your friendly neighborhood Michigander here. This is far and away the most in-depth, aggravating, confusing, and awesome epic series I've ever read. Thank Forum there's a place I can go to figure out what the heck just happened after I read it.
Three sons have I, and they ride by my side. The Fierce, the Black, and the Wicked are their names!
