So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."
I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

Just found this site and I need some much desired info if anyone can help me. I am currently reading "Deadhouse Gates" and the copy I have is what I have been told is a Trade paperback, the difference being that the book is basically 6 x 9 inches in size, (or 15.24 cm by 22.86 cm). I really like the bigger format since it keeps me from having to break the spine of the book just to read it. So the question is, does anyone know whether or not "Memories of Ice", and some of the other later books, comes in this format? Would really love it if TOR would publish Steven's books in the larger format since it is rather difficult for me to hold a six hundred plus page book in one hand and read it when it is only about 4 by 6 inches in size.
Any help would be appreciated!

I think all of them are available in trade paperback. They are usually available in trade paperback when the books are released.

The UK/Canadish editions are certainly all in TradePB, not sure about the US ones.

Hi guys, just found the site myself and even more impressed to find this thread. I lucked out with erikson 'cos I'd never heard of him until I got sent memories of ice as a freebie by my book club. I have never enjoyed a book as much as I did that one to start and it's still my favourite in the sequence. Needless to say I tracked down the rest and get each new book when it comes out. Have to say though that I'm struggling with toll the hounds, it just me or is steven erikson rambling more as he goes on. The writing still good for the most part but he seems to spend a lot of time on stuff that seems irrelevant, or is it all going to become blindingly obvious by the end and leave me feeling stupid. I like what i've read of esslemont so far as well, thought return of the crimson guard was great. Like some of the other guys I've had to read most of the books at least twice to get my head round all the different plot strands, sometimes it feels like i have to go read one of the old ones after every new one just to keep up with the references. hope you all can help.
If you can keep your head when all around are losing theirs, you should pay closer attention.

Hey! And welcome Yeah, a few people find his style has changed on TtH, but peresevere, the pay-off at the end is worth it. And if someone can understand the books 100% on read one, they are probably geniuses. Or aliens.
And we're here to help, feel free to post any queries in the book forums, and at least one person will have an answer

Or, as is most likely, several people will have different and mutually exclusive answers...
Which is why we like the books in the first place, I guess.

If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Hey everyone,
I just cracked open Reaper's Gale and found this website in Erikson's acknowledgments, so I figured I'd see what was going on around here! Holy crap I'm impressed by the community here, as well as this crazy Jedi fight smiley that keeps bothering me from the corner of my vision...
Anyway, Erikson's series is one of the best I've ever read, truly overwhelming and I've been looking for a place to discuss it for a long time (my friends are slow readers, and not adept at discussion =\).
*dramatic bow*

Welcome to Malaz, myth We're glad to have you!
Have you read his other books? You should possibly leave Reaper's Gale on hold and read the rest of the series first if you havent, or you will possibly spoiler some of the most important and puissant storylines SE has written
