Rodeo is currently in Britain and has a phone number for helping him (apparently phones haven't quite reached Canada yet...)

Alright then gang, here is the plan and some ground rules, although I think most of you know how the 'Empire roll.

We will meet in Kro Piccadilly at 1pm, this is not the best bar but it is very close to the metrolink and within walking distance of both Victoria and Piccadilly. It is in Piccadilly Gardens itself. If you do not have my number and/or do not know where you are going then PM me or catch me on MSN, my MSN address should be on my profile. I think most of you will have this but if you haven't make sure.

Once we are there we will hang around till 3pm this means that people have a window of opportunity to meet up, anyone coming later, WTF? Grow some. Seriously though, if you will be later call me and I'll let you know where we are, but make sure you know Manchester, I can't track your position from your phone signal.

After 3pm we'll wander down to the Christmas market and dick around, this is somewhere were you can fill yourselves up with an oversized sausage, which I know Hetan and Mezla are partial to plus a few other food stalls, have some Gluwein etc, this is dependent on the weather of course, we aren't going to bother if it's too wet. If people get bored there are a series of saloons around Albert square we can go to. We will then make our way to the Fab cafe for the remainder of the evening to get ourselves ensconsed in seats early.

As far as eating goes, eat before you come or grab something in Kro Piccadilly, they do a full selection of stuff, but you'll have to come early if you plan on this (don't turn up at 2.30, order roast and expect people to wait, it won't happen) there are food stalls at the Christmas market and we'll walk past McDs and a KFC before going into the Fab, there are also a whole load of Greggs and whatnot around.

Please, if you haven't been before, don't expect to come and talk about SE or Malazan. We tollerate limited discussion on other Fantasy or Sci-Fi, but too much of that is deeply uncool and pretty much should be left on the forum, we've exhausted the 'why the fuck is Erikson telling me again how big someone's schlong is' and that was pretty much it really. If you want to discuss Malazan in excruciating detail, there are plenty of forums up at the top of the page, get it out of your system.

This year we will be adding a couple of non-Malazans to the crowd so in the interest of normality, please, leave 'The Dark' dogtags at home.

We also have Rodeo, which just backs up the first point since he doesn't read the books.

We have the Pink vest and you will be expected to wear it at some stage, wear something suitable.

Finally, bring a warm coat, we are planning on being outside for some of the day.

Any issues, get back to me.

Not quite the welcoming vibe that Hetan and Mal go for with their BBQs but that is how we roll up in Manchester. You can come, but you will be judged with marks allocated by entertainment value, coolness and warm clothing.

Alternatively, uber-nerds could form a break away group and leave Cougar to look cool. You can look cool when you are all alone, right? :o

Yeah I was thinking of binning off the drinking and fun and taking everyone on a walking tour of Manchester followed by a trip to the stamp museum.

As long a there is beer and pubgames it's all good. And if we end up singing along to 'Run to the hills' in ridiculously loud voices it'll be even better!.

And I'm wearing my dogtags. It's tradition dammit. If it's not cool enough for you, you can go buy my another beer so that I "lose" them.

Fun? I think not Broody. It's not about fun, it's about going to museums and playing mafia, didn't you learn anything from the Chicago meet?

Anyhow I'll just remove your dogtags from your lifeless corpse when Mal chokes you out, again.
