Glad that you got that one sorted out. I know someone who would have been very disappointed had you not shown. Not me, obviously; I simply regard you as a necessary and recurring annoyance at these little soirees ;)

If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Yay!!! ;)
The problem with people who have no vices is that generally you can be pretty sure they're going to have some pretty annoying virtues.

It's interesting how "It wouldn't be the same without you" can so easily be mistaken for "It would be better if you were there".

No chokeholds this year please, I won't be as reticent to intervene again

What's a party without a few choke-holds and wrestling matches?
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

WEll there are two crackers at MOSI....Engineer Eric's difficult day - all about how to fire up a steam loco or (specially for Mez) "MOSI’s community gallery welcomes Wythenshawe to the city centre. In this specially created exhibition, the community sits alongside MOSI’s world class collections to show the world why Wythenshawe matters!"

Er...perhaps we should stick with Cougar's original plan?

You paint a most disturbing picture, Fid. The original plan still holds!

MOSI is awesome. We could leave some of our more drunken comrades in the kid's interactive section, it would be laugh-a-minute.

Also, I am apparently going to bring a +1 with me. Oh dear... :)

Oh My! We have a plethora of +1's this year - no problems - I'm sure the size of Karsa's cock will appeal to all as a discussion subject :p

and no - I am not going to no freakin' museum - I want a big hot sausage and that is what I am going to get! Christmas Market FTW! :)

Are we booking a chinese, or just gonna turn up ad hoc with 30 people and try and get a table?

I think from what Cougar has said earlier - eat before you arrive or grab something at the Kro Bar or on the way round the market. I don't think it's feasible to book this many people into somewhere - it's gonna be busy for sure.

Ah ok, I missed that update. Maybe I was distracted by the image of Mezla sulking upstairs with her posh friends :)

The weather looks dry and cold at this stage so we should be OK to go to the chrimbo market if people want to, we won't force anyone of course, those who can't be bothered can always find one of the pubs off the square and we'll meet back up there. The market will be very busy, I was there a week or so ago and Mezla was there at the weekend and reported that it was so rammed it made her angry. However, it'll still be worth a little scoot round if only to break the day up, get some air and a pork injection. It's the only part of the day we'll have to get a bt organised for as we'll need to meet back up again somewhere without losing people as at the moment it could be as many as 17 of us.
