just really wondering where was that KCCM on iccy rooted pregnant from.
she was first a dormant drone.
then a higher kccm.
and at the end she got pregnant/ is a matron.
so is this from Iccy we know that they cross-breed with other species before(look at the shake).
if this is true then we got a KCCM/Jaghut/TTT breed that will act as guardians for all the azath?

Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

The Drone had the ability to become whatever was necessary for Kalse Rooted. Something about Icarium's presence rebooted the Drone into action, but after that, it was simply fulfilling it's role.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Not exactly in the ending, but I reread the bit when the Bonehunters are just about to head off and Tehol sets up the throneroom to look ominous then calls for an artist and for no-one to move, and I genuinely laughed out loud. Particularly at Bugg facepalming.

Tehol and co were brilliant in this book.
The drone was activated by the KC 'nanites' (that's how it read anyways) to become whatever was needed. The colony needed a worker to repair it, so Shulkit became a worker. Then Iccy took over and needed a guardian, so it became a Jan sentinel. Then Iccy died or vanished and the colony needed to restart, so it became a Matron. It appears that Matrons are self-fertilizing, so no, Iccy didn't get nasty with the lizard drone.

I suspect Epiph meant that the Barghast storyline goes back to MoI, since they adopt Setoc.
Actually, I meant that since Setoc seems to be the Grey Helms Destriant, and may be somehow carrying the wolf-eaten hearts of the Grey Swords from RG, she, in essence, continues and is part of the Grey Martial Items storyline(See the top of page 9).

Yes, there were a couple scenes when Shulkit's body was being 'changed' painfully by the nanites. There was also a scene (when he/she/it went from drone to Jan) that Shulkit gained self-awareness.

Right firstly sorry if someones mentioned this but i have to say it. ' does everyone remember mael/bugg giving Tavore that thing (cant quite remember what it was) and said something like use it when you need it most or something along those lines well i think her need was most at the end there and i just have the suspicion that when we last see kisswhere that something big happens after it like Tavore using whatver it was and someone coming to save the rest of the bonehunters asses. My first thought was maybe mael/bugg would just pop outta nowhere to save them but the more i think about it i got a feeling its gonna be paran because he was mentioned loads in this book an i get the feeling it was leading up to something.

I think The Watch was more powerful than the liosan and the FA because he was on the road to gallan, in the normal world of wu he may have gotten his ass handed to him, but the fact that he was in his element changed things. the shake where defenders of the border between light and dark, they must have had some great fighting skills
