Ok so at the moment im probabaly more suspicious of HP out of most people because i dont like how he has been putting words in peoples mouths and maybe skirting a few questions a bit. Serc, while he has been jumping around a bit im less suspicious of as he just seems to be indecisive rather than scum to me. I agree that thyrllans contribution hasnt been amazing so afr but its day one so im willing to see if that improves.
Vote HP
i may be around a bit before the deadline but im not entirely sure so il leave a vote now.

Holy Clusterfuck Batman!
That was confusing. Real confusing. Don't rage at me Sorrit, it's pretty damned hard to vote when you aren't online.
So, Karat originally struck my scumdar. However, I agree with those that say this is very interesting day one activity, meaning one of two things:
(1) Scum was targeted and symps went to work. Most likely.
(2) Low spam made for a much more vigorous counter-reaction to cases. Less likely.
I'm going to do a re-read, because I don't think I have a good enough handle on exactly all that's been thrown out there yet. I will vote, however, because there is simply to much shit being thrown for it not to hit either symp or scum, the trick is picking the right one.

Just woke up a little bit ago. I've caught up, but I'm still unsure about exactly who's attacking who over what. So give me a minute to sort this all out in my head...
But the biggest thing that stuck out to me as I caught up was GL:
I'm seeing a lot of summarizing and "I think so and so is blah". The lines I made bigger really jumped out at me in particular. Followed by very tentative accusations on various people, and then a final vote on Serc. Throwing around votes is his chief reasoning--but from what I've seen, a lot of different people have been throwing around votes. And a vote =/= a case, as with Serc's first vote.
edit: ...and I forgot to read the last page. Fuck me. Which leaves 4 votes on HP with 3 hours left.

I am back and surprised by HP's stance. I think his argument is that at three votes (although one is a joke?), when only seven are required, any counter must be a defense. But I agree with Sorrit that is a dangerous argument to follow, as the natural conclusion is it means once the train has started we can't have any other choices.
If that's not what you mean then fair enough, but you aren't explaining yourself very well.
Edit: Cross post.

I hesitate to agree with anyone at this (or any other) point of the game tbh, especially as you are all clearly acting scummy, but HPs logic is sorely lacking.
Yes Emurlahn is a viable suspect as scum, but no more than anyone else. High amount of spam in a low spam game? Well hactually I think you will find I had the most spam...although that might not be the wisest thing to point out...
.
Lack of content...well it was early day 1, when do we ever have content early day 1? And before anyone says I am symping anyone I am not, I'll vote for any of you at this point in the game. But if we are going to lynch someone let it be on a factual case not because someone isn't the highest spammer, is one of many who hasn't posted content or because someone else has voted for one on the train.
At the moment I am concerned about Karatallid's posts. Seem very middle of the road to me.

Well for me the most suspicious thing has been Serc's behaviour. He drops a second vote on Emurlahn, but when that train seems to stall he has a spat with Karatallid, but that didn't go anywhere (and depending on timing) could be seen as OMGUS (but that could apply to Karatallid as well). He then votes Thyrllan, which if it doesn't start a train will leave him comfortably able to hop on to another train later in the day.
I think Sorrit and HP are probably not scum, but I think there was something strange about that Emurlahn train...meh, could be Emur himself, but HP's arguments don't work for me. I think it has to do with Serc saying he thought HP's vote was sus but doing/saying nothing about it.
Vote Serc

Is anyone else there? At this point it seems like the chief argument against HP is that he laid down a "sheeple" vote and called it pressure, then proceeded to accuse people who attacked his argument of symping Emur. This doesn't strike me as scum. Hell, I'm seeing more of a paranoid inno--after all, how many scum would throw themselves out in the open like that?

according to driss that was me playing quietly, oh no wait thats what i would supposedly have done if no one had spoken to me...
i still like my vote on emurlahn, no one has defended me, yet two people (despite their protestations) have been defending emurlahn.

I'm back because everything hasn't gone to plan.
I have not protested about the fact I am defending Emurlahn. I am attacking you, you attacked Emur, and in what I saw as a scummy way. I could hardly attack you without defending him.
You are, yet again, strawmanning. I didn't say that was you playing quietly. I said that you were middle of the road until you were attacked, at which point you started accusing people of being Emurlahns symps.
Edit: Dinner, back soon.

no you said i was middle of the road and would have continued that way. my vote on emurlah was like my third or fourth post and i discussed it from then on. i was never middle of the road, and your statement was i would have been middle of the orad if no one attacked me but if you read it, i never played middle of the road so you are just making shit up.

Also, Ampelas, I don't like your vote on GL. The case is nice enough, and I can see where you're coming from with it, but we've got 2 hours left, and you're the only person voting him. There's almost no chance of him being lynched, so it seems scummy-putting a vote elsewhere and thus staying out of the action.
