In other news:
I REALLY, REALLY, TOTALLY COMPLETELY can't comprehend why people in a high TMDI with
emphasized lethality refuse to discuss mechanics and roles and
even go so far as voting for the one person who does try to achieve something in that regard, unless these people are scum. Not discussing role distribution is for M&P only. So far, HD only brought up scum roles & numbers and he got voted for it, on account of it helping scum.
On day 1, you know nothing, tiss true, BUT at the least try and come with a hypothesis that you can adjust or falsify later on, for example, on account of the night actions, rather than start with making that still-likely-to-be-false hypothesis day 2. If not in public, then for yourself. But it's far better to do it publicly. You can always hang people later for being blatantly wrong/misleading.
Also, but this is a double edged sword: try to second guess the mod if you can. This time, it was announced that the attrition rate would be very high. That means that you have very few days if you don't hit scum fast, and probably independent killers or vigs on timers. All in all, from the announcements you can deduct that he upped the kill count to give you less time to sit on your hands and count your toes but tries to make it a do-or-die game, in which not doing anything is
lethal?
Secondly, this particular mod likes to theorize and to have role discussion, as some old hands will know...
Town, you maybe pissed away a day on RP and pointing fingers and being vague if you don't start theorizing soon. Throwing a day away is going to come close to suicide in a game where the pace is high and it is being dictated by the killers rather than by the standard rules of 1 kill, 1 lynch. Basically, day 1 is the day where town isn't under any pressure and no-one is threatened by what they did or say previous days. Therefore, you can use day 1 constructively by setting the pace, by considering the options. What you see now instead is people laying low, covering their tracks, and waiting for the scum to kill so they have a number of kills, which is good info, but also so that they have to react to the killers rather than set the tune for the dance themselves.
I start to fear that this is going to be a finder related game pretty soon, where Gavin and DKT have to search for the scum with the rest of the town doing whatever they can imagine to stay alive (including ganging up on other players for little or no reason) and avoid voting their finders before they can reveal... which would be sad.
/end of mod mini-rant.

Only someone with this much power could make this many frittatas without breaking any eggs.
