You should work out, substitute endorphins for nicotine. That's my current plan of action.

Although, I just royally f-ed up my left leg today, so that might fail in the near future...

I was thinking the same thing. When quit, I was under going physical therepy, three days a week for 4 hours a day but the results are the same. Exercise works wonders and your body can take it better now.

yesssss....another heavy party weekend without a smoke.

There was even a guy along on the trip that offered me a smoke every time he had one just to see if he could make me start again.

Didn't give in.

Fuck smoking

Nice work. Fuck that guy. I love seeing how threatened smokers get when people quit. It seems to mnake them feel inadequate and bad about themselves. Instead of joining you though, they are more likely to try to drag you back into it. Typical junkie behavior, just proves my point that you have to treat it like a drug addiction.

I was so friggin close too....nothing like a smoke craving when another voice outside of my head is trying to help out the voice inside my head.

The smell of the cigarette has finally started turning me off too. Used to be I'd walk by a smoke outside and kind of enjoy that distinct waff of tobacco smoke. Now it just kind of turns me.

Not the same for pipe smoke though....still love the smell of that.

Yeah, the first time I smelled smoke and it bothered me was a happy time. I'm at the point now where even if I did cheat, it wouldn't even taste good or be at all enjoyable. I would have to smoke four or five before they started tasting right again, and that is not happening.

I had a brutal craving on the way to work today though. Driving is a trigger anyways, and then I stopped and got some Mcdonalds breakfast. After I ate I wanted to smoke all the cigarettes in the world. Didn't though.

Well done guys for keeping it going. I'll be really surprised if ye give in now.

This thread always reminds me of an episode of Father Ted, when they try to give things up for Lent.
Here's a short clip that'll give you an idea of what it's like

This is sweet. I don't even have to try anymore at band practice. They're all still smoking like things possessed, but I didn't even crave one.

Not letting the guard down still...but dang. This only gets easier.

I was looking for some matches the other day to light some candles when I remembered I had thrown them out along with lighters and ashtray, etc. when I quit, don't know if that has been mentioned to do when quitting yet.

I didn't throw out all that stuff. I want the lighters for other uses. I should get rid of the ashtray though. I was playingwith my Zippo the other day, it made me sad.

The closest I let myself get to cigarettes is smelling my old smoking jacket. Though it does smell awesome, I'm probably getting my nicotine fix just by being around it. But hey, beats smoking.

Man, I completely forgot how much fun it was to bash smokers.

It irritated the shit out of me to hear it when I was smoking but now I'm doling it out like a champ.

I even got to use RLY's awesome line last night on my upstairs neighbor.

She - "Still not smoking I see"
Me - "yes, smoking is disgusting"
She - "aww fuck off, you used to be a smoker"
Me - "and now I get to bash them and its awesome"
She - "well I don't really consider myself a smoker...i only do it once in awhile"
Me - "well you do smoke right?"
She - "yeah"
Me - "then you're a smoker"

That shut her up.

Said it before and I'll continue to say it

Fuck smoking.

Word. Fuck smoking indeed. My intense vivid smoking dreams continue. Last night, however, in my dreams I was smoking blunts with a Jamaican in his baby mama's car. What the hell is wrong with my subconscious.
