It looks like a visual feast unlike any other.
I just wish that it was more than Pocahontas in space.

I know that if I go see it, the visuals will make up for a lot.
Usually I don't much care about the story in movies like this, even when it's over used.
What bugs me is the way the cliché story is incredibly blunt.
Oh well, if it works then maybe Cameron will do a proper Space Opera with even more awesome visuals and a slightly less abused story.

I dunno about this movie. Doubt I'll go see it in a theater, but I get the feeling it'll be one of those movies you pretend you've seen just so people shut up and stop telling you to see it.

I think when I will look a film, I will be very happy, after all this huge expectation for me...

Ever since we've started to learn more about this movie, I've found myself getting more and more disappointed. Cameron's early teasing on it hinted at a grand space opera vision. Now it seems that what we're actually going to be getting is more along the lines of a CG Dances With Wolves for furries...

Colour me less-than-impressed...
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Has anyone watched this yet?
I'm trying to decide whether I should watch this in 3D or 2D at the cinemas.

Watch it in 3D ... ive read some reliable reviews (at elast what i call reliable) and they are saying that the story is very one dimensional/predictable yet cameron somehow still makes you inthralled with the way he has "shot" everyhting.
And the visuals are amazing... The 3D is subtle and might take a little while to get used to but its definitely the payoff in this flick.

Holy Flying Crap on a Stick of Awesome... I just got back from watching it in 3D at the brand new IMAX screen just opened here in Cardiff... Seriously, I am still trying to pick up the pieces of my mind after it was blown!
Sure, the story isn't particularly new, but the imagery, setting and scale of the thing is astonishing! Watch it in 3D, the technology they used for that is far beyond any other 3D stuff that is out in the cinema... I want to write more, but my mind is in a bit of a daze... May go and see it again tomorrow...

Just as the Man's Language-which Mongora called gibberish-was beyond her ability to understand. The reason for that, Iskaral Pust knew, was that the Man's Language was gibberish, designed specifically to confound women." - BH

Crap, I can't watch it 3D. I wear glasses for long-sightedness, and the 2 don't go together.
Ah well, will have to "settle" for 2D.

mmmm... pretty colors.
Well, I is not displeased by it. It was much more New World than Pocahontas, replete with the proper amounts of great things to look at. It was pretty. And there were explosions, so basically it was exactly what I expected. Not gonna go see it again, but i'm sure a nice bluray will find itself in my possession later on.
