The Reaping...i know, I know I'm a wimp, but it's making me jump I tell you!
'Tell me, Tool, what dominates your thoughts?'
The Imass shrugged before replying. 'I think of Mafia, Adjunct.'
'Do all Imass think about Mafia?'
'No. Few think at all.'
'Why is that?'
The Imass leaned his head to one side and regarded her. 'Because, Adjunct, they are sheeple.'

Sometimes I wonder, "Why is that frisbee getting bigger?" ... and then it hits me.

That's the one with Hilary Swank, right? I haven't seen it.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Hallo!

Thought I should clear up: the reason I thought I was vote #4 is cause Shin had voted hours ago as a joke vote and I only looked back as far as we were actually talking about the lynch whilst counting.

Student loans are annoying but they're better then regular loans! That bursary bit sounds like the common military practice of paying your education in exchange for you signing on with them for x number of years, which they do in the U.S., Canada and plenty of other places.

Never seen the Reaping.

There I'm caught up!

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

Hmmmm. The only people I know who go about anonymous are Slum, Tehol, and Terez (me too sometimes).

Some of them have ~3:00 p.m. or so (hour and a half ago.) Do guests show up as anonymous user or as guests?

Sneaky anonymous person! I'm going to assume it isn't a player breaking the rules.
