Cheers Korlat, that's very helpful
. I remember the Scar Night characters now.
Couple of other images that are stuck in my head:
- Someone (Rachel?) rolling down a street in what I can only describe as a metal version of a Zorb Ball.
- A war being waged between Deepgate and some neighbouring infidels using unbeatable death machines.
Am I on target with those?

Can't remember rolling down a street, but that's a mighty wad specific for me and it has been a while. The infidel war is like an everlasting war against all the tribes in the desert around Deepgate. It's more of a plot point in Scar Night than in Iron Angel.

I'll try and do a summary of what I can remember plot-wise a bit later today. For now, cheers!

Your host has decided to partake in some alchohol tonight.
If any posts are editted to make them more humorous, please, ignore.
Also, the above summary of characters is missing several characters from the books, who may or may not be included.
Ichin Samuel Tell
Head of the Spine, Deepgate's assassins. He is an unfeeling monster who's mission is to kill any heretics.
The Heshette Chieftain Ramnir
Head of a tribe of desert-dwelling worshippers of Ayen. Hates everything about Deepgate.
Cohl's Shades
A group of mercenaries who kill each other in order to reach the top spots. Come in variations: white Swords, black Swords, and grey Swords, according to weapon shade. The White and Black Swords, in use as titles, are the highest ranking members.
Basilis
A fallen God, known as a Penny Devil.
The Soft Men
Three alchemists who managed to gain eternal life, by distilling the souls of other people into a mixture (Like devon). Went insane, and were trapped and bound by the Spine.

It is Day 1. 27 hours and 3 minutes remaining
16 Players still alive: D'riss, Emurlahn, Fener, Gamelon, Hood's Path, Kessobahn, Korlat, Korvalain, Liosan, Meanas, Rashan, Ruse, Silanah, Telas, Tellan, Tennes
9 votes to lynch, 8 votes to go to night
1 vote for Telas: ( Hood's Path )
Players not voted: D'riss, Emurlahn, Fener, Gamelon, Kessobahn, Korlat, Korvalain, Liosan, Meanas, Rashan, Ruse, Silanah, Telas, Tellan, Tennes
I may extend the modkill timer, it seems as I opened this rather early, people may not be aware of it. Just to tell you now; I think it would be unfair if people are modkilled because I opened a game earlier than I said I would.

I've read the books and thought myself mighty clever until our friendly mod told me he'd mucked around with the roles to remove any advantage given those who've more than dabbled in this series, so though Korlat is doing an excellent job of trying to hide in plain sight, it's ultimately rather pointless to dwell on the individual character descriptions I'd think.
I promised myself I would jump straight into this, but I'm exhausted and need desperatly to get a good nights sleep, so I'll have to save up my contributions for later.

Well, I'm done with work for the day...off home now. I'm kinda busy this evening, so probably won't be able to get on much. So in case I don't get back, see you folks bright and early tomorrow morning.

probably the guy recruiting people for his army? king of hell???

From the sounds of the OP the king of hell is coming - whichever faction wins get to fight them. Would there be agents of his present in the city before that? Reading the character summaries there looked to be enough characters for more than four factions and none of the characters sounded especially cult-like. Not that knowing what the character's name is would actually help us find him.
