hmm, interesting case there, Korv.
Shadow's been pinging on my radar yesterday, his all-over-the-place comments smacked of symp, now i'll have to look into it more...

Good morning all, see there's a case on me...well not a case, inasmuch as its so silly...if you'll recall I only posted the song in the first place at Korlat's urging.

Alright, so after reviewing I suppose Mockra's been a little bit annoying but its nothing to put a vote on, imo. I was never a fan of Shadow, right from that first comment about les auto (that's French dontcha know) and after he seemed to make you think I was his symp, I think its worth looking at him a little closer. Its possible he is scum trying to attach himself to an inno and get me lynched...hmm, I'm gonna go re-read him and see what I find.

Ahem, at the risk of continuing a 'pissing contest', my counter-stab:
Perhaps you should try harder to get your facts straight. I 'attacked' you as a sarcastic response to your opinion that I was symping Shadow, i.e. saying 'well, aren't you doing the same thing by answering for Korlat when Korlat was well able to defend themselves, by themselves?'. If your point is 'valid', then my point is equally 'valid', and therefore they're both equally retarded.
And tyring to paint that as an 'overreaction' is really just laughable.
And as I already said (though of course I don't expect you to pay attention this time either), Korlat could have made the same comment about anyone, I wasn't defending Shadow, I was picking up on something I found suspicious. It's not defending someone, it's trying to find a lead to go on by pointing out that you found something iffy. But, you know, clearly you have a different way of playing the game.
I will go look at Telas voters now.

You attacked me as part of your defense...its OMGUS.
Its a type of over reaction that one should look out for.
My point about that you could have been signaling shadow is still valid.
You didnt have to jump in there on korlats musings about shadow...im sure shadow was perfectly capable of answering himself.
you knew it was stupid you didnt need to answer for him, yet you did, so therefore it could have been a signal.
simple really...

Well, not as much on Shadow as I'd hoped. He's mostly middle of the road, with a padded post count do to his activity during the spam phase. nothing overtly scummy, imho, but maybe I'm just missing something. I've still got a lot to learn about case construction.

Busy at work right now, but Kess, (sarcasm) that post doesn't make you look like a symp on Shadow, nope, not even a little bit (/sarcasm)
I'll be sporadic for the rest of the day, but with the thread moving at a snails pace, shouldn't have any trouble keeping up.

Well, no more than you look like Sil's symp. I mean, come on, you look at virtually everyone on the train yesterday and conveniently forget to mention the most suspicious one? I suppose if you're an experienced player forced to symp a newb you can only work with what you've got, but you should've at least mentioned it!

HA! Now I'm the symp? thats hilarious, I explained why I left Sil's name off that list. I was asking questions based on that train, Sil had pre-emptivley responded, I also left Mockra's name off for starting the train, you failed to mention that. Want to know why? Its because he was the first vote, the train grew AROUND him not BECAUSE of him. Does any of this mean I am CIing anyone? Of course not, keep trying Kess, but you need to do more than that to save you're master.
In fact

Also, based on what the Shadow case indicates, Kesso would have to be the master for Shadow to have known to respond. Were he the symp, how would Shadow have known to make this "signaling" response?

Edit: Ignore the below post, I'm going to go pick up my dunce hat and sit in the corner. Sorry D'riss, you do in fact say there could be two night kills very clearly and plainly. Ooopsie-daisies.
Ok, looked over some (not all) of the voters on the Telas train, and I don't really have anything new. The only other thing I can point out is this reaction to the night kills by D'riss:
Note: He doesn't even consider there could be more than one killer out there - it's got to be a vig. My thought was that it could be a killer trying to confuse innos about scum numbers. One weak point (out of possibly many) about this is that I don't think D'riss was the only one to assume it was a vig first.
I just found it odd that that would be the conclusion straight away, with even a 'could be' or 'might be.' Just a bit too 'certain' about where they stood.

Oooooookay. So just like last game, some nimrod decided to use a vig on night 1, again, or we have two night kills.

Here's a tip to noobs, saving your vig for later in the game is advisable. Dying with an unused vig isn't a big deal.
Read over Tennes, just a few finger-pointing posts at Gamelon and Emur for objecting to the Telas train.

Not that you are a newb, or even a n00b, that's just the hypothesis I need to justify my argument. Its not your fault Meanas can't symp you well.

Of course, none of this makes sense - who Symps openly on Day 1, such that we wind up noticing? No one - it's all interplay, a lot of it spam, a bit more of it meta, and none of it adds up to guilt.
Good Symps stir shit up, clutter the thread with stuff that's on-topic but utter nonsense, and lead people down bad lines of reasoning. I had Tennes and Korlat pegged for that on Day 1, and Ruse is giving that vibe now.

So you avoided a train on day 1. A lousy train that is very certain, but still made sure you'd avoid any voting suspicion.
Then you mentioned your 'pegged' symps who have conveniently died (which means, if you are right, this game is over soon for scum).
Good symps don't randomly stir the pot. They save their masters first and stir shit up only as a means to that end. Why stir shit up if the town is already cannibalizing its own?

Yeah, because not voting certainly avoided suspicion. Pointing out that the train was stupid certainly avoided suspicion.

I was suspicious of Korlat and Tennes because of a certain misplaced aggressiveness they both had, an aggressiveness that wasn't really based on anything.
And yes, good Symps do in fact work to create confusion.

But great symps don't interfere with already ongoing confusion. Why do I get the feeling you are just trying to confuse this issue symp style?
