Hehe, so HP will vig someone tonight, Ruse will reveal that he guarded Kesso, thinking it clears him. Then HP reveals he's a vig and all of a sudden it's wifom city again. Tomorrow should be awesome

PB here, just clarifying there's no inbox message or anything in this thread I see that says HP is using his vig. Right now Gem is still guarding Kesso, MB is still guarding Shadow (with no backup plan in case lynched), BM and M45 are still doing nothing.

Thank you Kurt, I totally flipped when I originally counted it. That would have been an instant vote from me on-thread. The lesson here, of course, is scum tend to make mistakes more than innos because they are frequently lying. You always lynch liars.

Oh, and don't ever ever ever trust scum to ever be telling the truth.

With two members of the Order of the Shaper gone, nerves run high as the monks feel each remaining member could be one of them.

Eventually, the discussion settles upon two individuals. One claims to be so paranoid that everyone he sees is scum. The other claims to be a nobody, an average Joe in the cloister.

Each person slowly begins to take a stand on one side of the line or the other... murderous glances are shared between both supporters' camps.

Late in the day, Mockra appears and sides with Shadow, calling the paranoid man, Kessobahn, a fool and a liar. Liosan, the sole non-voter, stood on his own as everyone watched for what he would do. Even as the votes looked to go to the wire, several people murmured about changing their minds.

Finally, as the sun is about to set behind the horizon, Liosan finally speaks up. "Though I am not convinced of it, I believe that I have no choice but to lynch Brother Kessobahn."

And then a voice from above screams out... and you could swear it sounds just a bit like Patrick Stewart....

THERE. WERE. FOUR. NIGHTS.

A beam of white hot energy crackles down from the sky and strikes Kessobahn. He screams in agony and writhes and when the stream of power disappears... all that remains is ash.

Kessobahn (Morgoth45) was lynched on Day 5. He was of the Order of the Shaper.

A great feeling of relief washes over the monks and suddenly it is clear... the Shapers are defeated!

Shadow smiles and says, "Why on earth would you believe so many clear lies and misspoken words?"

The remaining seven of you go to unlock the gates. As you do so... you notice one Monk unable to speak. He is sweating and suddenly vomits a sickly black mess.

One monk speaks, "H-he carries the mark of the Shaper! Only the Shaper's minions would emit such foulness!"

The teachings come back to you and it is true. This man is not one of you. He is expelled, forever unable to rejoin the Path.

Ruse (DKT) has been expelled. He was working with the Order of the Shaper.

With a smile from everyone, the Masks are brought back out. Everyone goes to put theirs back on, knowing the only thing to do next is to pick a new leader.

Someone speaks up, "How about that Shadow guy? He did have everything right."

To clarify - HP had to use his vig either last night or tonight - he said he would use it tonight but hadnt put in any provisionals for a target yet. Looks like it will likely be a moot point
