Wait a minute. You're telling me they usedNorvegian instead of Latin? that's really cheap. Even an idiot can understand the differences between the two

What makes people think like this? So absurd.

Today, I kissed my iced over window to know what kissing Edward Cullen would be like. My neighbor saw. My first reaction was to come up with a cover story. I licked the window and wiped my sleeve over it to look like I was cleaning it. My neighbor came over later and gave me an early Christmas gift. Windex. FML

:p :D Posted Image

But I've got another Twilight story from my every day life, too.. :D

The other day I was watching LotR with a friend when we paused to make tea. Earlier he had been bitching - again - about his girlfriend and about how he thinks about breaking up but doesn't have a credible reason to do so. So while making tea we casually talked about books and since I'm usually on top of the news when it comes to books he asked what the heck the deal with this 'Twilight' stuff was and whether it's worth reading. Being the nice person I am I told him including every spoiler I know of. He facepalmed himself and then applied his face to the kitchen table, laughing slightly hysterical. When I asked what the matter was, he said: 'My girlfriend's reading this crap!'
My answer: 'There you've got your reason for breaking up.'
He didn't. Coward.

Apparently one of the values not embraced by Twilight is coherence:

(Notice the "lol". It's very important to make the message clear.)

There should have been a very large warning next to that link ... as it is my eyes will never feel clean again and I think I just threw up a little in the back of my mouth...

Perhaps what is even scarier about these people is that many of them are eligible to vote in their respective countries...

I think I will curl up into a little ball and rock myself backwards and forwards until the world seems cold, harsh and normal.

Come to think of it Twilight was foreshadowed in Donnie Darko... the group was called Sparkle Motion wasn't it? Maybe they were all secretly twivamps...
Trust me, I'm a doctor.

That is pure gold. Electroplated to steaming piles of shit, but gold nevertheless ... :D

This thread is fantastic. I keep sending snippets to friends with twitard daughters, to assist with their re-education. Kids thrive on their parents thinking their pursuits aren't apprpriate, but we have found nothing upsets a Twitard more than if they find out EVERYONE is not only laughing at them, but their passion is derided as (gasp shock horror) uncool.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Great...now I have to go pour bleach in my eyes. And on a Saturday too! Mind you, if the alternative is Cullenism I think I win out. :D

But that only matters if they think that cool people are laughing at them. If they think uncool people are laughing at them, then that's a different story... They want the people they think are uncool (like adults with good taste) not to get it...
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Bertrand Russell
