I just want to keep the invitation open. Anyone ever doing a tourist or business (or both) trip to Japan, be sure to look me up! I've never met any of you, but I would really like to. :)

Hopefully I'll find myself in your neck of the woods someday too.

Definitely want to visit Japan, the home of ninjas and killer robot makers!! :p Seriously, though, it is on the top of my list of countries I really want to visit. :)

I did visit Japan, back when I was a lurking lurker here. I loved it, and want to go back. Sadly, the price tag is a bit of a bitch right now.

it's the top of my "to visit" list; however, it's also high on my "can't afford" list, sadly :/
also, don't us poles need visas?

I'd love to. But I'm unlikely to be visiting Japan in the nearish (or even far-ish) future due, primarily, to budget constraints and also a terrible fear of flying. But thanks for the invite, should I win the lottery...

I flew over Japan once... we were either flying low or the mountains where especially high...

There is a conference I could have gone to in Tokyo at the end of this month. I really wanted to go but my research wasn't ready :) So now I have to go back to America AGAIN, but this time it is San Francisco in September rather than the NJ winter. Life is a bitch!

One of the students in my lab has to go to Tokyo on her own and she is a bit shy and has never travelled alone before so is totally bricking it. It's not fair, I want a free trip to Tokyo!!!! There is even a satellite conference in Beijing afterwards. Life really is a bitch!!

I have an opportunity to do a semester abroad in Tokyo. I don't know if I want to go there. I imagine the language barrier is a bitch.

I'll probably just go to London.

My gf was born in SA, her family was pricing it last year to see how much it would be and its expensive as hell! But i guess prob cheaper if your from Europe.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

South Africa is an awesome, albeit crazy country. And the exchange rate means that most foreigners have tons of money to throw around. The 2010 FIFA world is coming up, if you're a footy fan it's a great place for a holiday too...

I wish I could go to Japan...unfortunately I can't go on exchange there, and am a dirt poor student. But I've forgotten half the language (what "half" I knew lol) so its probably a good thing. But you're right Shin. More meetups in other places than the UK. Aussie Malazites unite!

P.S. Shin, what the hell is Pachinko? I heard about it the other day, but can make no sense of it.
