Same premise as the last couple of years, all basics provided, bring your own poison or particular choice of food to burn
We'll be happy to see you on Saturday 11th July if you're up for it, and let's hope the weather's nice

I despise the incredibly long-distance flights and time it would take me to turn up.

If only transporters were available. A massive Malazan meet would be so fun.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Oh yeah, the Gamel Dansk was worse, dont get me wrong, but it's like comparing Hitler to Stalin.

Would love to actually get to one of these one day. If I'm not double booked, which I might be and I need to check with someone, you can count me in... A chance to actually meet some more of the Scary Mob is almost too good to pass up.
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. I'll try and make this, I reckon I can find a cheap flight to stanstead at some point in the endless round of ryanair sales.

Ryanairs obscenely cheap flights and the timing of 12th weekend make this a viable possibility

The problem with people who have no vices is that generally you can be pretty sure they're going to have some pretty annoying virtues.

Pah. On the day of one of my closest friends' weddings... I wonder if he would accept this BBQ as a reason not to come...
